We were seated in the back room which was quieter. Great server - she was so delightful. Food was a bit more upscale. Very good. A bit more pricey though. Still glad they seated 6 of us without a reservation. It was close to our lodging.

The other night we ate here at Trattoria Da Fiore (they have a very popular cicchetti bar too). Another exceptional restaurant here in Venice. Our server Elena was great! She was passionate about the food, directed us to a great Venato local wine that suited both our tastes and paired perfectly. She was a delight! The food was superb.
All local ingredients, ultra fresh seafood, perfect pasta and they have interesting appetizers and innovative cicchetti.

This humble trattoria is warm, friendly and serves excellent food. Traditional Venetian dishes are accompanied by seasonal specialties with local ingredients. Serving staff is attentive and knowledgeable. This would be a 5/5 if the menu prices were more in line with the rustic nature. However, it is Venice. So what isn’t expensive?

Siamo tornati a distanza di anni in questa trattoria, in quanto il ricordo era di una cena di ottima qualità.
Purtroppo dobbiamo dire che in quest’occasione è subentrata un po’ di delusione, proprio sulla qualità delle portate.
Gli spaghetti al nero di seppia sono stati davvero deludenti, per nulla cremosi e troppo asciutti, la grigliata di pesce normalissima così come i dolci; per contro siamo riusciti a provare le ultime “castraure”, servite su una morbida polenta bianca: le abbiamo trovate molto buone. Il servizio è stato cordiale e professionale, mentre i prezzi perfettamente in linea con le nostre aspettative e assolutamente onesti.

The owner, when asked why he gave me a discount, in addition to offering a ride, replied: you are alone. I really appreciated it. I will always be alone...
We went to this restaurant in the Cicchetti section but the reception was rather cold when we wanted to ask what it was. Basically, grab it quickly and get out of there. In terms of cuisine, nothing to say, it’s very good. For the room, it’s more of a youth hostel atmosphere. Not to mention the spritz without bubbles… and the flat pinot gris! We did a lot more quality this week in Venice!

Sono anni che andiamo a cena da Fiore. Ci troviamo sempre molto bene, per i cicchetti è ottimo, per il ristorante normalmente mangiamo benissimo. Questa sera il fritto di calamari era eccellente, ci sono piaciuti meno gli spaghetti al nero di seppia, avevano una punta di acido. Il servizio impeccabile e simpatico.
