Friendly staff, excellent cuisine and a very cool place in the summer

We booked for 8 people and they put us on the veranda as requested. The view was beautiful and the atmosphere comfortable. The appetizers were good: gnocchi and cured meats for everyone. Then we moved on to the meat-based main courses, except for one girl who opted for pasta. We were told to bring everything together, but... due to some mix-up in the kitchen, the pasta was left behind. Throughout the dinner—without bread because there wasn't any—we asked for pasta four times, and when we were finished and the girl was no longer hungry, the waitress assured us that they were plating up in the kitchen... Too late, so we decided to leave. The food wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't bad either. Aside from the pasta, we had to hassle the waiters for water and ate without bread. Among the various reasons for the poor service: a canceled wedding, a waiter who misread our order (not true because the pasta was marked), a broken printer... I sensed disorganization in the management and wouldn't return.

Excellent dinner with a traditional menu, fried gnocco, tigelle, and green tortelli. Everything was delicious and very filling.

Trattoria in the hills of Reggio Emilia: sweeping views of the plain. The restaurant is very spacious and has a garden for outdoor dining. Service is efficient and led by very friendly and helpful young people. The food is good and the portions are generous. A great place to go with friends: a relaxing atmosphere. I plan on returning this summer to escape the city heat.

We had coffee first thing in the afternoon and made a reservation for the evening. We had a delicious meal, although ordering can sometimes be tricky—what is what—but we were given good recommendations. The starters were delicious, as was the main course. The dessert, on recommendation, was very tasty (though lots of alcohol ☺️). We enjoyed the evening and will definitely be back if we are in the area. Highly recommended, so if you are in the neighborhood....

Even though they were closed for lunch, we let them know the day before that after a sad ceremony we'd like to host 16 guests from far away for lunch, and they offered without hesitation. The place is perched on a hilltop above Albinea and offers a 180° view of the plain—an incredible sight on clear days, as far as the Alps. High-quality traditional dishes include tortelli, gnocco fritto, and tigelle with cured meats, tagliatelle with wild boar... and a warm welcome.

Albinea and surroundings the best

Excellent, very large location for birthdays and parties. We returned a month later to celebrate another birthday here. We had a great time. Excellent service and food. Kudos to the waiters, who were always helpful and kind. Excellent private room for DJs and ceremonies.
