Discovered "by chance" in September, it was our "certainty" in December. Carlo's is a trattoria in the purest sense of the term: welcoming place, family atmosphere, quality food. Small trattoria in the center of Orvieto, very kind staff, the owner Carlo, extremely courteous and helpful, seeing my 2 year old son, let him taste a small portion of tomato soup (amazing) everything is, I repeat everything, really good, a little tip with the skewer, I would add a small matching side dish, and finally the excellent desserts
Recommended, we will return with pleasure.

Trattoria with excellent dishes served, such as homemade macaroni Amatriciana di Cinta Senese with pecorino, or homemade spaghetti with cheese and pepper on broad bean cream. Dessert, among others, in addition to the classic cantucci and vino santo, I recommend the mousse della Zia: ricotta mousse with cinnamon and persimmons.

Abbiamo mangiato bene e velocemente. Sebbene il prezzo sia leggermente superiore rispetto alle osterie della zona, l'ambiente è molto accogliente e il cibo ha un sapore autentico. Forse ci sono troppi antipasti e pochi secondi nel menù. Consiglio vivamente le polpette, davvero deliziose.

Simple but very good food!
The service was okay, but could have shown more sympathy and enthusiasm - even in stressful moments.
The host, Carlo, is personable, but should avoid criticizing other guests in front of those present.

Really enjoyable dinner here, and staff were friendly and helpful. Meatballs were some of the best we’ve had, and entire meal was great.

I had a chance to eat at Trattoria da Carlo with a friend. The food was delicious. We were able to taste some very high quality wines. And the service was excellent. The owner Carlo is very friendly and helpful. I will be back soon. Best wishes.

Comida totalmente indiferente en Orvieto. Es difícil tener una comida menos que excelente en Orvieto, pero se puede hacer. Sobre patatas condimentadas, parrilla mixta seca y aburrida y poco ambiente. Spinich y garbanzos eran buenos.
