A trattoria outside the city center that exceeded our expectations.
A well-maintained place offering warm service and a moderate portion of well-prepared dishes, not touristy (finally!) but consistent with the restaurant's game-based theme.
The pappardelle are excellent, and if available, I recommend the wood pigeon sauce because I think it's the best in the area.

I really liked this restaurant, from the appetizer, first course and second course they were all good and plentiful, everything prepared with so much care and love by Mrs. Lucia, compliments to everyone.

Honestly, the best osteria I've ever tried in Tuscany!!
Sincere and authentic flavors, just like those of the past, and everything is strictly homemade.
The service was excellent and friendly; they made me, my girlfriend, and our dog feel right at home.
The pappardelle with hare ragù and the zuppa volterrana (with onions, I recommend!) are highly recommended.
Go there!

It is the oldest restaurant in Volterra and the typical tavern of the past, traditional dishes cooked simply with a good result. The restaurant is welcoming, I would leave the tavern tablecloth on display (white tablecloth with red squares) partly covered by a white restaurant tablecloth. On the internet it deserves a slightly higher price, try it.

A lovely discovery outside the city center!
Bar Trattoria da Bado was a pleasant surprise: a trattoria outside the historic center of Volterra, authentic and frequented by locals, workers, and laborers. A real place, not touristy, where you eat as well as at home.
The cuisine is simple, authentic, with classic dishes prepared with care: authentic flavors that take you back in time.
The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and we felt truly at home.
Highly recommended for those looking for a no-frills lunch or dinner full of flavor and sincerity.

Con la mia compagna in vacanza a Volterra decidiamo di cenare in questa trattoria, spinti dalle recensioni. Il locale è carino, accogliente, e i ragazzi del servizio super gentili e disponibili. Ordiniamo pici al ragù d'anatra e zuppa alla Volterrana, infine formaggi pecorino misti, acqua e vino rosso. I pici erano molto buoni, cottura perfetta e il ragù d'anatra saporito, la zuppa ugualmente buona e saporita. I caprini anch'essi buoni. Il conto nella media €51 euro in due persone. Non tantissimo. Ottima cena, senza pretese. Allego foto. Lo consiglio.

La classica soluzione di successo per mangiare.tipico, di qualità ed evitare i locali ormai preda di turisti onnivori. Cibo buono, servizio efficiente e gioviale; a ridosso ma non dentro il centro storico. Bravi. Non cambiate.
