Excellent location, spacious and well-maintained, with large windows overlooking the valley. Classic local menu with appetizers featuring excellent cured meats and cheeses, and ample first and second courses to choose from. The house wine, both white and red, is more than decent. Recommended. Be aware of the steep climb to reach it (authorization to drive up is available for those with particular difficulties).

A very well-maintained trattoria: a warm and welcoming atmosphere; excellent food, tasty but not overly heavy. We went with family, but we'll be back with friends!

Polenta without cheese, with porcini mushrooms and pork shank. Excellent dish. It's a shame there aren't any tables on the terrace given the beautiful view (also because inside, when the place is full, it's impossible to have a conversation).

Un posto, dove trovi l’accoglienza e il mangiare che ti porta ad una domenica in famiglia! Tutto ottimo, porcini e polenta top! Stinco buonissimo… un plus il papà non giovane che gira tra i tavoli sempre sorridente, e la mamma in cucina…. Posto super consigliato

Facilmente raggiungibile dal parcheggio riservato con una passeggiata. Bell’ambiente, personale molto gentile e disponibile. Tutto ottimo con dolci super in primis la “torta cuore” .

30/10/2025: An exceptional experience! The wine cellar was truly superbly stocked and very well selected. I was extremely pleased and satisfied with the service and menu. I'll be back as soon as possible.
22/10/2025: I agree with my previous reviews: dining at Giovanni Cattaneo is always a wonderful surprise! The raw fish appetizer is superbly high-quality and incredibly creative. Other appetizers and first courses are delicious, the meat-based main courses masterfully cooked and harmoniously flavored, and the desserts are classic and perfectly executed. The wine list, featuring many historic vintages of great Italian and international wines, is worth the trip. The service is punctual, courteous, and very professional, but without self-congratulatory rhetoric, which usually conceals ulterior motives. Congratulations to Giovanni and his entire staff!
