Trattoria Cesarina In Santa margherita ligure

A very welcoming place with a warm soul. The decor makes you feel like you're in an extension of your own living room, with an elegant vintage touch. The dishes are a true delight, with sophisticated and never banal pairings, well-crafted, showcasing the excellent ingredients without overshadowing them. The service is truly excellent; the waitress is very polite, kind, and calm. My wife and I were having dinner with our 3-month-old daughter, who unfortunately started crying at the end of the meal. She was attentive to us, helping us, and was very sweet with the baby. Last but not least, check out the wine list! Excellent! They have an excellent selection, including some small-production wineries, which I know personally and who, due to their limited production, are reluctant to release their wines except to select restaurateurs. My wife and I had dinner last night. The atmosphere was nice and clean, the wait staff was very friendly, and the menu wasn't touristy (a plus). We complimented the owner/chef on the dishes, which were truly excellent. Recommended for those who don't want the typical tourist menu.

We stumbled upon this trattoria by chance, and it immediately revealed its refined yet simple, spacious, and welcoming character. They immediately put us at ease, considering our dog is here. We tried two starters from the menu, both delicious, and two desserts—what can I say? We polished off our plates. The place is a bit out of the way (it's not on the waterfront), but it's worth it!

On our last night in Santa Margherita Ligure, we went to La Cesarina and it was just an incredible experience. Matteo designed the place to feel like home with couches, great lighting, nice music, and adorable pictures of his 8 dogs. The food was sooooo good (highly recommend the Ravioli with Veal, easily my favorite pasta dish in Italy). It’s a little down the road from the shore, so try to make it there for the experience!
