Trattoria C'Era Una Volta In Sortino

22/04/2026: A unique hotel complex with private apartments, a beautiful swimming pool, and a restaurant with good food.

16/04/2026: We've just stayed for 2 weeks at Residenze Archimede during the Easter school holidays (UK) with our 12 and 9 year old. The room was clean, simple, comfortable and well maintained. The bed was very comfy. The pool and pizzeria were closed because it was so early in the season. The food on the half board menu was very good. The hotel and grounds are lovely but could do with a lounge. The beach in Arenella is really nice and about a 30 minute walk away. The hotel staff are fantastic and really lovely. The waiters were great with the kids, the reception staff were really helpful with any queries we had. Overall we had an amazing holiday staying here but it's not the kind of holiday where you stay on the resort the entire time. It is rather remote and there are not many amenities nearby (like shops and bars) but we hired a car for 10 days to explore the area. While in the area I would recommend visiting the beaches at calamosche, minareto and fontane bianche. Also the towns of Siracusa, Ragusa and Noto if you hire a car.
