We've been coming here for decades; it's always been my family's favorite hangout. Marco and his staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and efficient. And the food is so good! Don't just stop at the torta fritta (which is also amazing), try the tortelli, the pisarei, the tartare, the braised meats... and the desserts! Delicious home cooking. Excellent value for money! And no parking problems: there's plenty of space.

I visited this place for lunch. The menu was excellent, there was ample and convenient parking, the place was clean, and the staff were knowledgeable and attentive to their customers' needs. The only flaw was the coffee, which was truly undrinkable. I'll definitely be back, hoping for a coffee that can only get better.

The first courses were good, but a bit sparse... The second courses, wild boar and ossobuco with polenta, were spectacular!!! The red wine was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Make a reservation...

Great bar, great for breakfast. This trattoria is also excellent, with excellent cured meats and the wild boar with polenta was extraordinary, never tasted so good. Great place and friendly staff 👍🏻

20/02/2026: After the obligatory taste of fried pizza and tortelli, we wanted to dine at a less usual restaurant. La Gatta Matta is a very charming and welcoming place. The beautiful menu intro takes diners by the hand and leads them into the concept of gastronomy conceived by this young Apulian couple: heart and flavor. And this love, infused into their dishes, is immediately evident in the colors on the plate and the balance of flavors. The tender mugnoli, along with the pomegranate and Cappelli semolina pasta, stunned me. The ingredients are excellent, and even the chef-made bread is a delicious discovery. We truly enjoyed our stay; should we ever return to Parma, La Gatta Matta will be our first choice.
