We came here to climb the Fanton refuge, and after visiting the Arta thermal baths, we stopped at this typical Friulian restaurant. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. The restaurant is large, quiet, and has a retro feel. The food is excellent and plentiful. We'll definitely be back!

I highly recommend this experience. We tried their mixed platter "Carnia nel piatto" and were won over by the care and passion the chef poured into the preparation. The wine also deserves a mention.

Not a surprise, but a certainty. Good food and kindness have always been in their DNA. This time I even brought Bread, my little dog, who curled up under our table the entire time. Only at the end of the meal did the owner notice him and promptly brought him a plate of treats.

A true experience of traditional Friulian cuisine. Cjarsons, venison ragù, polenta, mushrooms, and the famous Modesto roast or frico are definitely worth trying.

We were coming from Trieste on August 15th. The place was very welcoming, the staff were wonderful, everyone was super friendly!! The food was excellent, good quality, there wasn't a single thing wrong! And the service was impeccable, truly excellent. As soon as I have time again, it will definitely be the first place I'll eat! Keep it up! ❤️

29/11/2025: For a commercial Emiliano Romagnolo, I purchased excellent products at fair prices, quality and courtesy, Montaione aged and mezzano smoked ricotta and pre-packaged frico, all very good.
21/11/2025: Over the years, you've evolved more and more, constantly improving. Every time I pass by, it's a must-try for gelato and cheese. What can I say? One scoop of gelato feels like two! The Pinguino flavor remains my favorite. The cheese is also always excellent and very fresh. The girls are very polite and helpful, especially Martina! Recommended! 🌟

05/01/2026: Years ago we celebrated Christmas at the San Gallo farmhouse; I have only positive memories, good food, well-kept premises, and friendly staff.
03/01/2026: Everything is good, of course...but on Saturday evenings the kitchen can't close at 9pm.
