Trattoria Buzzino In Firenze

A Florentine treasure & by chance we stumbled upon it for drinks after a sumptious apperitivo elsewhere. We were drawn to the place by the bonhomie of the guests on the front terrace, the tenor belting out opera alongside passers by & the young American diner who joined him amidst clapping & cheers from passers by ( like us) & residents from the apartments upstairs. After being smitten by a concert from the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina at the Zefferelli Musem nearby, we felt as if we had walked into one of the Great Man's film sets. Perhaps due to being tucked behind the magnificence of the Uffizi, Trattoria Buzzoni it is at first glance modest but this place is as worthy of the listed fine dining establishments that Firenze is proud of. In Scotland, we are also proud of our fine dining restaurants, excellent produce & hospitality but also, like Trattoria Buzzino we know how to welcome people in good eateries like long lost friends with conviviality borne of good wholesome food, laughter & joy. Their name befits the owners & the chefs....this place is A-Buzz with everything we need in life right now......the joy of life. Just like magic you will venture inside & you will realise what you have been missing!

The place is well kept and well set up. I have no complaints about the service, it was really beautiful and the price is really reasonable. I recommend it to anyone passing through to find a place to eat. I thank the restaurant for its hospitality. I will also bring my girlfriend.

A unique experience, a quick lunch transformed into a village festival with the entire dining room, superb food, and excellent wine. A super fun and satisfying experience. I'll definitely be back. Greetings to Alessandro and everyone else... 😁 👋

You can fully enjoy the crisp Italian atmosphere. I highly recommend it to tourists who want to experience the Italian atmosphere. And of course, it's delicious. I actually visited this restaurant 27 years ago, so it was my first visit in 27 years. It brought back memories of our youth and I had a wonderful time, but it wasn't just my memories; the happy atmosphere created by the staff was truly comforting. I only learned the name of Alessandro, but thank you so much, Alessandro and everyone else. We enjoyed wonderful dinners all three days. All the dishes were delicious, but the seafood risotto was especially exquisite. Florence is not a port city, so it's the chef's skill that made it so delicious.

A pretty good restaurant with local Tuscan dishes, recommended by our guidebook, and we weren't disappointed. The prices are slightly higher than you might find elsewhere, but it's true that we're in the center of town, so that justifies the cost. They have some very famous dishes like spaghetti with wild boar, gnocchi, and the famous soup with bread in it.

This trattoria is close to the visitor attractions and was recommended by our walking tour guide. Service is warm and efficient. Food has a home-cooked, personal feel to it. I came here twice during my stay in Florence! Note, it isn’t open on Mondays (or at least it wasn’t on Monday 26th January).

What can I say? We stumbled upon it by chance or by luck. We were greeted with a warm, homely welcome. The food was excellent and the price/quality ratio was good. Highly recommended!
