Dining at Trattoria Bolognina is a treat for the soul. Excellent food in a family-friendly atmosphere. But the icing on the cake is the friendly and professional staff. P.S.: If the pear and chocolate cake is among the desserts, order it—it's spectacular!

It feels like an authentic eating experience in modena. Omg! The amount of good food! There is no written menu, but expect to pay fix price €25 per person for a FULL course meal, i mean huge antipasti (cold cuts, cheesy fried pockets, and chunks of grana cheese with balsamic ) including aperitif(aperol spritz), first pasta dish, second meat dish, dessert coffee and digestive limoncello. Oh and also 1 liter of water of your choice.
The service is great, even with our limited italian, it was funny that they dont ask what you want, they just bring it.
So between 2 people, we paid €50. And i almost rolled out of there.

Excellent restaurant in the Modena province, a must-visit if you want to sample traditional Emilian cuisine at a more than fair price! The service was friendly and attentive, and the waitress, Elisa, was pleasant and courteous, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

While vacationing in Modena for a few days, some friends of ours took us to this oldest trattoria in the area.
What can I say? A simple, down-to-earth trattoria with truly excellent food.
The great thing is that we also purchased some local cured meats, and if you'd like, they also have local cheeses at truly excellent prices.
