Very tasty food and the boss is an icon! If you are in Bologna you should definitely eat there!

What a gem of a place!!! Lovely Italian vibe to it. Nothing fancy, emphasis is on the quality, flavour of the freshly prepared food. Can't fault the food at all, words will not do justice to the food. Best would be to go and experience this lovely little restaurant. Having tried the other highly recommended & famous highly rated restaurants in Bologna, this is The Trattoria to go. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Really good family run restaurant. Great value food and drinks. The carbonara was perfect.

The restaurant is easily accessible because it is located in a place close to the main areas of Bologna. The restaurant has slightly dated furnishings and the service, although very friendly, needs to be sped up a bit. The dishes we tasted were all much appreciated and we recommend tortellini with meat sauce and tiramisu. The bill is very good.

This places deserves 5 stars. Sure the interior is a bit dated, the service is a bit slow and wonky but the food. THE FOOD. It was on another level. You can taste that it was made with a passion for the Italian cuisine. The pasta carbonara is the best one I've ever had. The cheesecake was rich and melty and actually tasted like cheese. Crazy affordable as well! I would definitely visit again!

Had a very simple meal of bruschetta and platter of meats. Excellent quality. Couldn’t believe the low price charged for the whole meal. Very pleased. Five stars for the value.

I came with my family for dinner and we loved the food. In addition, the service was very friendly and the waitress was very attentive.

Very friendly and attentive staff. We were initially surprised by the "living room" feel, but it just makes the whole thing even more authentic. The food is really delicious and just as it should be. We had the bruscetta as a starter and were thrilled right away. The main course (Tortellini alla Bolognese) and the dessert (Tiramisu and torta di ricotta) were also delicious. If we come back to the city, we will definitely stop here again.

Locale ad 1 km dalla stazione, di passaggio avevo poco più di 30 minuti e una voglia matta di tortellini al sugo, vengo consigliato a recarmi in questo ristorante da un cameriere di un altro ristorante che però li faceva solo in brodo, con 40 gradi accetto il consiglio di posticipare il brodo dopo l’autunno. Leggo le recensioni prima di entrare, confermo molto di quello recensito ma…che sorpresa, dietro lo sguardo serioso del proprietario forse un po’ appesantito dal la vita o chissà è delle cameriere cinesi, forse le future proprietarie, chiedo la possibilità di gustarmi un piatto della tradizione ma veloce e in una sala che sembra fermatasi nel tempo vengo servito velocemente e devo dire che la pasta era davvero di ottima qualità ma non il sugo un po’ troppo abbondante e caldo. Consiglierei di provare questo locale se non avete pretese estetiche e d’eccellenza ma se cercate semplicità e tradizione con un prezzo onesto é il posto giusto. Al proprietario consiglierei una ristrutturazione del locale totale e un aggiornamento di menù, vedrete che avrete prenotazioni a pioggia perché la storia non dev’essere buttata via anzi!
