Delicious food, excellent service and pleasant environment

Our experience didn’t quite meet expectations. Culinary-wise, the food was well-presented and delicious, but the service left much to be desired. It took 25 minutes just to place our initial order, and every additional request was similarly slow. The service felt chaotic, and unfortunately, we got the impression that our group was not a priority. A bit more attentiveness would have made the experience much better.

One of my favorite places in Bologna, I'm particularly fond of it. The owner is always very attentive. The husband, who is the chef, is attentive and comes to ask at the table if there are any special requests to try to satisfy them. High quality of products and raw materials. Young and friendly staff. Maybe prices a little high but the quality is worth it. We ate amberjack with red grapes and top hazelnuts and a fish first course with fresh tuna bottarga and pistachios which were amazing. This was an outstanding fine dining experience. Local favorites executed with skill. A very friendly staff and a beautiful dining space. A must try while in Bologna!

Esta fue nuestra mejor experiencia gastronómica en Bolonia por bastante distancia. Trattoria Battibecco tiene una elegante habitación con techo de madera decorada con esculturas de madera ornamentadas con no más de una docena de mesas. La cena se sirve entre las 20 y las 22 horas. Fuimos los primeros en llegar de lo que resultó ser una mezcla de turistas (como nosotros), aunque de Francia, así como el Reino Unido y los habituales locales. El lado izquierdo del menú tiene platos de carne; el pescado derecho. Nos dieron divertidos bouches de un paté de calabacín antes de compartir un clásico tonnato de vitello con pequeños cubos de pasta de atún encima de finas rodajas de ternera de rosa. Escogimos el tagliatelle ragu, un risotto con guisantes congelados y rodaballo con verduras mixtas, este último un extraordinario motín de color. La presentación de un postre compartido de sorbete de durazno, crema de marscapona, chocolate y vainilla fue igualmente exquisita. El vino blanco que me ofrecía la copa era toda una educación en sí mismo siendo un Muller Thurgau de la región del Alto Adigio.
