Trattoria Barison In Borgoricco

We chose this place for a family lunch, partly based on word-of-mouth recommendations. No complaints about the quality of the food: fresh ingredients and tasty dishes. The 3 out of 5 stars are due to the service, which, unfortunately, I found confusing, rushed, and extremely rude. Of the orders, one was initially mixed up with another and then skipped. We asked for an appetizer of mixed cheeses and were served only a few shavings of Grana/Parmesan. The mixed cured meat appetizers were lacking in variety. Except for one waitress, everyone else who served us was either rushed or downright rude. One incident is illustrative: I ordered mushroom soup, and with it, they brought a bowl of grated cheese to the table. When I asked what cheese it was, the annoyed waitress replied with a huff and a smug, superior air: "IT'S CHEESE!" To find out what kind of cheese it was, we had to ask the kitchen. I'll leave the conclusions to whoever reads this review.

For meat lovers it is always a guarantee.

The atmosphere may be a little retro, but the home cooking here is a guarantee. The grill is superb!

Excellent restaurant, the rugolini are delicious. Antonia took the ghelle but they had the skin not open as usual.

Everything was very easy, from the phone call to dinner. Polite and professional staff. Very welcoming atmosphere.

We ate lunch on a Sunday with friends. Abbianco had an appetizer, thick-cut fries made that day, a good asparagus risotto (dish of the day) recommended by the waiter, grilled sea bream with potatoes, peperonata (a spicy pepper stew), and cooked vegetables, a licorice sorbet, and a coffee. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. The atmosphere is a bit dated, reminiscent of the 1970s, but otherwise nothing to complain about, with air conditioning. There's ample free parking outside. The prices are reasonable for the dishes served, which in my opinion were very good. Besides the fish, I recommend the grilled meat, which I had on a previous occasion. This place is perfect for an evening with family or for a dinner with friends. The restaurant has three rooms, but I always recommend booking beforehand to avoid waiting.

Everything is very good and simple, with grilled meat and fish as well. The service is kind and friendly... it's one of those trattorias of yesteryear.

Excellent cuisine at a very reasonable price, but it loses points due to the less than ideal welcome.

When you enter this trattoria, you feel like you've stepped back in time. Excellent food and attentive service.
