Terrible waiter, rude, impatient, especially due to the language barrier. He TRIED to take the dish away twice as if he wanted us to leave, so we did. Such conduct detracts from the appeal of the dishes and, indeed, the pleasure of enjoying such wonderful Florentine cuisine.

Excellent historic trattoria. We went there two midweek evenings on January 20th and 21st. The service was good in a dated, unfussy setting. The dishes were well-prepared with top-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the tender sirloin and the delicious fried artichokes.

What a thrill to rediscover the Baldini restaurant... I searched for it on the internet because I left a piece of my heart in that restaurant... I discovered it when I was very young, 50 years have passed and I came to Florence for work and also for love... I frequented the Baldini restaurant for about ten years with a certain regularity... because I loved the family atmosphere, I remember that it was run by brothers and the food was excellent, everything from appetizers to desserts, I came from Turin accustomed to eating well... Baldini has never disappointed me... I have been missing it for many years but I am sure that it has maintained its good qualities. Now for a couple of years I have lived in Versilia and soon I will return to Baldini... sorry for my boring story, it came from the heart.....

A true Tuscan trattoria, like it used to be, and in a good way—in fact, excellent! Well-prepared dishes with excellent ingredients. Efficient and friendly staff.

On the recommendation of a taxi driver, we tried this trattoria not far from the Santa Maria Novella train station, convenient to the hotel where we were staying. We were greeted warmly and friendly by the staff, and accepted their recommendations for the daily specials. We opted for excellent gnocchi with ragù (one of us chose Gorgonzola), followed by delicious fried artichokes. We also ordered a second course, the expertly prepared cod Livorno-style, which left us satisfied. The service was excellent; we also appreciated the speed with which our orders were taken and the dishes were served.

Baked pears on the menu, which immediately sparks respect and interest for me. Authentic and traditional food, spontaneous service, a genuine atmosphere. An old-fashioned trattoria unlike anything you'll find in Florence anymore. Don't miss: bean soup, liver, ribollita, tripe.
