I give 4 stars for the waitress and the speed of the service. We arrived at 9:30 p.m. and the grumpy old man rushed us to sit down because it was late... but the professional and helpful waitress changed the situation. It is a restaurant “made” for locals.

Great classics of Tuscan cuisine, from ribollita to tripe, but above all excellent meat (and Florentine!). Eccellente trattoria storica toscana; personale cordiale ed efficiente

If you like to visit a restaurant where the locals eat, don't miss Tratoria Baldini. It's a 5-minute drive away, very close to Piazza della Republica. It's definitely worth it. The food is amazing. I started with the Straciarella (egg) soup, then I had veal tonato and finished with the delicious and fresh zuppa inglese. The service is excellent and the waiters are super polite, in a good mood and willing to serve you, which is rare in Italy! For me, it was the best restaurant on the entire trip.

Vicino al mio ufficio, sono stato per cena con amici. Si trova cosa ci si aperta di trovare in una trattoria: prodotti freschi, cordialità, e buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Non averci lasciato lo stipendio è da apprezzare, la bistecca, leggermente bruciacchiata, (può succedere) costa però un punto sul giudizio.
