Trattoria Avellinese In Napoli

Good morning, my partner and I have already eaten at this restaurant twice. It's excellent, the food is really good, the quality/price ratio is very reasonable, and the fish is always fresh and tasty. The starters, meat dishes, and main courses are also good. I highly recommend it. Livia

Traditional restaurant near the main train station. A bit cold, simple and sterile interior. We had spaghetti carbonara and bolognese. Also better than average. Both in terms of taste and presentation on the plate. The service is typical Neapolitan "old school", but good, there was also a smile 🤣. The vegetable soup was disappointing. Although a large portion, a lot of vegetables, but absolutely unseasoned, no salt, pepper, absolutely nothing...🤷 Too bad. The dessert (Baba) was great. Feel free to stop here, it probably won't be your greatest gastronomic experience, but you'll eat quickly and decently (if you avoid the soup 🤭).

A typical Neapolitan restaurant with freshly made dishes, the owner is very available to satisfy customers if they want some dish outside the menu.

Tasty and affordable food. This restaurant is highly recommended. The drinks are very reasonably priced. The restaurant is frequented mainly by locals. The ambiance could be improved.

Very home-style cooking and excellent value for money

Swordfish could have been better but other dishes were very good. It's home made food, simple and tasty, in normal place, for normal people

Last Wednesday night, October 22, when we could not get into an already full restaurant across the street from Trattoria Avellinese (a.k.a.Ristorante Avellinese), we decided to go here. Even though this restaurant does not have pizza on the menu, which is what we wanted before leaving Naples the next morning, evening else was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed their pastas with bolognese style sauce and the Chicken Milano, which was expertly prepared. There are many items on the menu in which to consider. We had a side of broccoli and eggplant parmesan, as well. The preparation for the eggplant parm is a little different from the way we do it here at home. It's not breaded and the skin is left on. It was very tasty, nonetheless. The other thing we didn't like in the space, itself, is similar to a great many restaurants in Italy. The lighting is bright. It would be great if the establishments would dim down the lighting and warm the places up a little. Other than that, I can really recommend Trattoria Avellinese.

We spent 6 nights in the neighborhood, and had dinner here 4 times. Not a fancy luxurious overpriced restaurant, but a clean, family owned trattoria with excellent food and great service. Highly recommended.

Classic Neapolitan trattoria, so avoid if you expect 5-star service. But if you want to eat well, you must try it. Everything is excellent at very reasonable prices

The pasta, bread, wine, and coffee were delicious. Locals eat there. Good value for money. The service was friendly and down-to-earth. We don't understand the bad reviews.
