Incredible. Need a reservation—we didn’t have one and the owner made it work because it was my birthday. Beautiful, intimate, family environment. Food was exquisite.

Outstanding service from the sole gentleman in the house. This small restaurant holds true to tradition with family vibes and reasonable prices, we absolutely loved the chicken liver Crostini , impeccable & the bistecca steak was spot on , In Terms of Quality & Flavor

We were referred to Armando's by our hotel and am SO glad they sent us here for Dinner. It is a lovely small restaurant with amazingly personal service that is spot on. They are welcoming from the first minute as we were led to our cozy corner table. They started us out with a little comp serving of tuscan soup to warm us up on a colder winter night and then we enjoyed the fried artichoke special along with both choosing the papardelle with wild boar ragout. We decided to have a Chianti Classico wine that paired beautifully with the dinner. Our server was attentive and pro active and we never had to ask for a thing. The dinner was SO amazing we could only fit in a nice espresso to cap off the meal. A must stop while in Florence

Decided to try this trattoria on our last night in Firenze and it didn’t disappoint! Highly recommend reservations as we saw some people were turned away because there was not enough room. Everything we ate was delicious and the service was excellent (even though the server was very busy he made sure we had everything we needed!).

10/10 recommend if you’re in Florence. This is hands down the best meal of our trip to Florence. The staff was so attentive and welcomed us to an early seating even though we did not have a reservation. The food was outstanding. Every dish was a love letter to Florentine flavor. We let the staff chose the wine that best suited the dishes we ordered and had the best Chianti of our lives. I recommend this trattoria to anyone who loves amazing local fare and good atmosphere!

Great location, great hotel, but with the luck of the draw, we had a tiny room. Given the age of the hotel, someone will get that tiny room. If we weren't on a tour I would have gotten a different room. STIILL, if we go back, I will get a room at this hotel.

Armando è una trattoria chick, ben arredata e curata nei particolari.💝 Tutto è buono e il servizio è informale. Direi che, pur se sempre pieno, i prezzi sono un po' troppo alti per ciò che si mangia.

Nos encanta este lugar. Llegamos por casualidad durante un viaje hace dos años. El lado positivo de la huelga de trenes de hoy fue que nos quedamos varados en Florencia, así que tuvimos la oportunidad de comer aquí de nuevo. Excelente carta de vinos. Servicio de primera categoría. Encantador ambiente acogedor. Y la comida es para morir. Cada uno tenía un antípasto y primi, luego partimos una entrada y un postre. Los sabores son maravillosos y la presentación es hermosa. No es el principal lastre turístico. La zona de "Ogniscenti" es conveniente para la estación de tren, pero en una zona residencial histórica caminable muy segura. Muy recomendable. Las fotos autografiadas de personajes famosos en las paredes atestiguan el legado de Armando de cenas de alta calidad.

29/01/2025: As travelers from an Asian country, we stopped by this restaurant on our way back from The Mall and Decathlon. We didn’t have high expectations, but to our surprise, the pizza and every dish we tried were absolutely incredible—the best we had during our trip to Italy. The pizza here is the best we've ever had, even compared to the ones we tried in Rome and Naples. Last night, we paid over 100 euros for a steak elsewhere, but I’m confident that this restaurant offers much better quality at approximately 30% lower prices. Maybe, as foreigners, we aren't the best judges of authentic Italian food, but the flavors here are universally delicious. If you're looking for a great place to eat near The Mall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The menu and staff are very English-friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were truly happy to have dined here! I visited this restaurant after stopping by The Mall to visit a nearby Decathlon store. It was the most delicious restaurant during my trip to Italy and the whole family was impressed. I was debating whether to try the pizza again after being somewhat disappointed in Rome, etc., and when I heard that they would make it for one person (originally it was fixed for 2 or 3 people), I ordered it. It was so delicious, and the cutlery was also nicely prepared. Everyone was very satisfied. Even though the locals were gathering as a group, the food came out right away after ordering, and they handled ordering and payment without any difficulties. I haven't tried steak, but I think it will be much more delicious but cheaper than the highly rated restaurants in central Florence (famous the day before) I was disappointed with the T-bone steak at the restaurant, so I ordered pizza and a burger to keep it simple.) If you are traveling with a rental car and have plans to visit The Mall, Val d'Orcia, or Siena, I recommend trying a meal!

Enoteca Ristorante Gallo Nero

02/01/2025: Lovely and welcoming place, delicious dishes and staff with unique kindness despite the crowds on New Year's Eve. Honest without applying a surcharge, we had an à la carte dinner, with an excellent Chianti, starter, first/second course, dessert and flute for a midnight toast. I will definitely return.
01/01/2025: Exceptionally good! Priced a little higher, but worth every cent. The only thing that could be improved would be for the crème brulée to be caramelized shortly before serving, but unfortunately it was relatively cold.
