Food was the absolute best we have had in Italy, being in Rome, Naples, and Sicily, this place was by far the best place we ate the entire trip, Wild boar pappardelle, spicy garlic-tomato spaghetti, meatballs with lemon sauce, and the braised beef stew with mashed potatoes. All of it was outstanding and tasted like the only real authentic Italian food we had in the whole country. Our waiter was very friendly and walked us through the wine list telling us what was local and where the endless selection of wines came from. 10/10 would recommend and come back just to eat here!

We noticed after arriving that the madam spoke to us in Japanese, which put our family, who is not good at languages, at ease and allowed us to have a lively conversation. However, we could also see that the madam was considerate in not wanting to disturb the atmosphere of the restaurant and other customers, and we understood that we should do the same. The food was very delicious, and they made minor changes to the menu to suit our children's tastes. The timing of the food and the service were all appropriate, so we were very grateful for the good time we had. We also reflected on the autographed portraits of famous musicians and opera singers that surrounded the restaurant, which tell the story of the restaurant's history.

Delicious meal We stayed in Florence 5 days and this one was our favorite…Authentic Old school Italian. Menu offers many options you’ll never see in other Trattoria’s but you will find something on the menu that you will love! Ideal stop If you are staying in Santa Maria Novella,especially if staying at the Sina Villa Medici Autograph Collection Hotel where you are away from the best of Florence and lack great restaurants. Spacious AC cool interior with white table cloth service in family run business!

Highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic Florence dinner. Our group of 5 had an incredible meal between appetizers, pasta, main courses, and dessert. And of course, the famous Florentine steak! The owner & the wait staff were incredibly friendly and super helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Florence.

El personal y el propietario (Allessandra) en Armando’s eran conocedores y atentos. Cuando llegamos para nuestra reserva (hecha un mes antes) – ya sabían acerca de las alergias alimentarias de mi hija a los lácteos y frutos secos de árbol (Latte y Frutti di Guscio) .
No solo conocían los ingredientes exactos y cómo se preparaban los platos, sino que también entendían el riesgo de contaminación cruzada.
Tenían grandes recomendaciones y también recetas alteradas con los alérgenos para que mi hija pudiera tener una gran experiencia y una comida aún mejor!
