Trattoria Archivolto Mongiardino In Genova

A trattoria that tries, and succeeds, in using typical Genoese cuisine in a fun and creative way. The mixed fry presents an excellent variety of fried foods, crunchy and not excessively greasy, which go perfectly with the accompanying sour cream. The pesto and clam gnocchi are very good, with an excellent artisanal pesto, slightly less creamy and coarser. The idea of ​​tiramisu is really fun, in which the ladyfingers are replaced by focaccia and the coffee is served directly from the moka to the chocolate funnel above the dessert. The service was very kind and precise, able to make you feel at home. The restaurant, in the heart of Genoa, has a tavern decor, not intrusive but capable of conveying a feeling of "tradition" with colored plates and iron tools hanging from the ceiling.

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times. I must say that the informal environment and the climate of empathy that the staff creates drives me crazy. For me, dinner is not just food in any case prepared with an excellent quality-price ratio but above all sensation, fun and surrounding environment. We are in the historic center of Genoa where history can be felt in every corner and finding such extroverted staff in the presentation of traditional but not purely tourist menus represents for our city the denial of the defects rightly so often attributed to us Ligurians. I can't wait to go back

Buona cena dai sapori genovesi. Bella locanda nei vicoli (caruggi?) del centro storico di Genova. Servizio estremamente empatico. I piatti erano ben cucinati/allestiti ma ci saremmo aspettati un pizzico di genovosità in più.
