We arrive and they tell us there is no room and they don't have time to check online reservations.
Then deactivate the table reservation system, it's ridiculous!

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times. I must say that the informal environment and the climate of empathy that the staff creates drives me crazy. For me, dinner is not just food in any case prepared with an excellent quality-price ratio but above all sensation, fun and surrounding environment. We are in the historic center of Genoa where history can be felt in every corner and finding such extroverted staff in the presentation of traditional but not purely tourist menus represents for our city the denial of the defects rightly so often attributed to us Ligurians.

We had a great time in Trattoria Archivolto Mongiardino.
staff is really friendly and we ate Sant’olcese with carciofi fritti as a starter, we shared Gnocchi con vongole e pesto as a main course and then both of us ate a fresh palamita (a fish of the tuna’s family, highly recommended).
Torta cioccolato e pere and Nutella tiramisù were really good.
we’ll surely be back to the Archivolto.
after 22 you can go around Genoa’s Vicoli and drink something along the streets.

We ate quite well, good fried food, good pasta, fast service with two very sweet and attentive waitresses, very nice place. But at the end of the dinner we paid and they made us leave with a speed that left a bad taste in our mouths, they took away my two year old daughter's ice cream before it was finished. I understand they need the table for 9.30pm but it was 9.15pm and we felt like we had been kicked out. Unfortunately the owner's attitude was neither kind nor professional, which is a shame.

After walking around for a while looking for a place to have dinner with the family, we waited outside because a table was becoming available. The staff is very friendly, the dishes are very in line with local tradition. The fried appetizer is good, plentiful and also light. For children, the spaghetti with clams is excellent and those with prawns are also delicious. The cream is a spectacle. Adequate price. The only note is the extra virgin olive oil: it's always the Achilles' heel for 99% of places...unfortunately it was faulty.

Buona cena dai sapori genovesi.
Bella locanda nei vicoli (caruggi?) del centro storico di Genova.
Servizio estremamente empatico.
I piatti erano ben cucinati/allestiti ma ci saremmo aspettati un pizzico di genovosità in più.
