03/08/2025: A Truly Memorable Stay at Grand Hotel Minerva
Our recent stay at the Grand Hotel Minerva in Florence was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and heartfelt hospitality.
A special thanks goes to Alessandro, the front desk manager, who exemplified true professionalism—gracious, attentive, and kind throughout our stay. His thoughtful care left a lasting impression and truly enhanced our experience.
The check-in process was seamless and conducted with the utmost professionalism. Our suite was beautifully appointed and thoughtfully stocked, offering every comfort we could have wished for. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Florence, allowing us to explore the city’s rich history and vibrant charm entirely on foot.
The buffet breakfasts were plentiful and offered a perfect variety. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with a smile, which made for a wonderful way to start each day.
After days filled with sightseeing, the rooftop pool provided a perfect retreat in the afternoons, where we could relax before enjoying wonderful dinners in the city.
In summary, Grand Hotel Minerva is an outstanding choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and we eagerly look forward to our next visit.
02/08/2025: What a beautiful hotel! My mother and I always stay at the Minerva in Florence when we come on our yearly Florence trip and it never disappoints. A five star experience all-round, this hotel is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, with the breakfast room's glass walls overlooking the courtyard garden being a personal favourite! Undoubtedly though, our love for this hotel is made by the staff. The fact that we are greeted by familiar faces has really made this hotel feel like home, and is a large part of the reason we come back so regularly. Everything is seamless, from check-in to check-out, and the warm service without being hovering strikes the perfect balance that other luxury hotels often fall short on. We always love breakfast, as the fresh selection of cheese, fruits, nuts and seeds, pastries and cooked options is the most pleasant way to start the day. To say that the cappuccinos served here are delicious is an understatement, and the new ginger and lemon drinks are a great addition!
This year, we ate lunch and dinner in the hotel too, as they have now broadened their menu to include more vegetarian and vegan options. Both my mother and I are vegetarian, and I can honestly say that the eggplant parmigiana and the fennel tart tatin were explosions of taste, so carefully balanced, and the best we ate in Italy; paired with Chardonnay, complementary homemade focaccia and topped off by a Tiramisu, all served by the lovely manager and waiting staff, this meal was extremely special to us. We look forward to returning next year to Florence and to the Minerva!
