I went to Trattoria Angiolino and I have to say I had a truly wonderful meal. The restaurant is located in San Donnino, in a somewhat remote and not particularly renowned area near the Arno River, but once you arrive, you discover a truly unique place.
Inside, the atmosphere is very simple and authentic: a small room that almost feels like a tavern, with a homely and welcoming atmosphere.
The food was exquisite. The penne alla pecora arrived in two seconds, and it was immediately clear that mutton is the place's signature dish. For my second course, I had the overcooked cheek: fabulous, incredibly tender, truly spectacular.
In the end, I spent the right amount and ate very well. Although it's a bit inconvenient to get to from the city center, it's definitely worth a visit.
I'm not giving it a fifth star because I usually do it when the dessert is also top notch, but I noticed that they're already prepared the day before and don't make them right away. In fact, I preferred and recommend the cantuccini and vin santo.

There are places where you go to eat.
And then there are places where you feel welcomed.
Today I was with my mom and my girlfriend for lunch, and that alone would make any table special. But when you add to all this pappardelle made just right, pici that taste of tradition, ravioli made with attention to detail... and then a flavorful mutton steak and a tender fillet steak cooked in red wine, you realize it's not "just" lunch.
It's attention.
It's passion.
It's respect for those who sit at your table.
You eat really well, but above all, you feel good. And that's not something you can take for granted.
Sincere compliments, because when things are made with the heart, they really show. Always.

Stopped there for a quick lunch, abundant dishes, ate the penne alla pecora which I recommend and as a second course we had the impiccato which in my opinion was too expensive but really good. Another dish I would have liked to try is the rice with cheese.

The kingdom of Tuscan tradition, and for me, their lamb chops are unsurpassed. The cheese risotto is also worth trying. Recommended.

Let me start by saying that the food was excellent from the first course to the last. Our table was served by a young man with excellent service!
