Fantastic experience from start to finish. You can tell there's meticulous research behind every dish: super-fresh ingredients and creative yet balanced combinations. We tried the spaghetti with squid ink, and it was simply perfect. Kudos to the chef for the passion he exudes. We'll definitely be back!

The Trattoria Alle Burchielle, established in 1503, is a true gem. The service is exquisite; ask for Luca, a very attentive and exceptionally friendly server who makes the evening a truly memorable experience. The wine recommendation was excellent, and the accompanying tagliatelle was simply divine. This is exactly how I imagine authentic Italian cuisine. For dessert, we enjoyed a chocolate cake with a molten center, and of course, a complimentary limoncello was a must. For anyone visiting Venice, this is a true treasure, far removed from the city's noisy boats. The view of the beautiful, old gondolas makes for an unforgettable experience. Curious? Absolutely fantastic lunch in Venice. We ordered pizza, spaghetti with squid in black and BBQ ribs and every dish exceeded expectations. The pizza was incredible, honestly better than the so-called “best pizza” in Naples. The base was perfectly crisp and the toppings were generous and full of flavour. The spaghetti with squid in black was rich, well-seasoned and beautifully cooked. Even the BBQ ribs were tender and juicy. This was our very first lunch in Venice and it did not disappoint at all. A perfect start to our Venice food journey. Highly recommended.

Disclaimer: The prices are what you'd expect across the island, so it's fair enough. The first course, spaghetti with clams, was excellent. The service was quick and courteous, and the coffee was complimentary. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again. Thanks!

I stumbled upon this place by chance, and the staff were really friendly and the risotto was delicious. Most of the food was above average.
