Tonight, just a relaxing break, I "treated" myself to a glass of sparkling white wine to celebrate a somewhat unusual day. The place is a little out of the center. The owner was very welcoming and the fish menu had a good selection. The house appetizer (unfortunately not very exciting) was followed by a good seafood risotto (a little too peppery in my opinion). The service from the nice and friendly girl was excellent. The price was overall very good.

Very good and generous dishes. I tried the delicious pasta dishes: with mussels in white sauce and with anchovy pesto; excellent. Then the fried sardines...a very generous portion and excellent. The house white wine in a carafe...excellent. Overall, I recommend it.

Fuori dai circuiti turistici triestini, abbiamo trovato questa trattoria “casalinga”. Cucina semplice, e non sofisticata. Se volete mangiare il pesce come a casa, siete nel posto giusto. Qualità prezzo ottima, rivedrei la mousse di baccalà, buona, ma un po’ troppo acquosa e a pezzettoni… Per il resto nulla da dire!

09/11/2025: I went to Osteria Marise just this evening, looking for a quiet dinner and excellent food. My expectations were not disappointed! The staff is extremely kind and friendly, the service is courteous and attentive, and what about the food? The bruschetta with liptaver is excellent, and the Trieste-style boiled meat, complete with potatoes in tecia, is excellent. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the food is phenomenal. I also deserve a few words about the ambiance and the restaurant itself: cozy and intimate, ideal for a romantic dinner or a bite to eat with a few trusted friends. My trip to Trieste couldn't have ended better. Osteria Marise is an example of excellent cuisine and great professionalism. P.S. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is limited, and it's a courtesy to those who work there!
