My daughter and I were in Trieste this weekend and went to lunch at this restaurant and we were THRILLED BY EVERYTHING. The place is very nice and clean. The service from Franco and his staff is impeccable. We ordered spaghetti with clams and spaghetti with lobster and fried calamari: everything was delicious but the fried calamari was 110 AND PRAISE!!! I have never eaten fried fish this good! It melts in your mouth! We ate so well that we went back the next day for dinner. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend going to eat at this restaurant in my opinion the best in Trieste! Fuori dai circuiti turistici triestini, abbiamo trovato questa trattoria “casalinga”. Cucina semplice, e non sofisticata. Se volete mangiare il pesce come a casa, siete nel posto giusto. Qualità prezzo ottima, rivedrei la mousse di baccalà, buona, ma un po’ troppo acquosa e a pezzettoni… Per il resto nulla da dire!

We improvised a fish dinner in the center of Trieste for our 20th wedding anniversary. To our great surprise we found ourselves in a welcoming and quiet environment where the manager served us right away. The dinner was served without waiting and the dishes were of quality. I recommend it both for those who want to taste fish in the classic tradition and for those looking for a place to eat well. The prices are good and the portions are right. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food, brilliant atmosphere and the best staff in the city. The place fell right into our heart when we entered and the manager reordered the tables for the six of us. He joked with us, helped us with choosing the right food and everything. The seafood and fishes were simply amazing and we could find any flaws. The portions were just right and for the great price. Definitely recommended to anyone visiting Trieste and craving some seafood. If we ever return we will definitely visit again. Best of wishes from Bratislava

Trattoria vera. Pesce fresco e cucinato senza intingoli. Ottime le sarde fritte. Buono il branzino al sale. Più che buono l'antipasto misto Prezzi giusti e gentilezza. Sarà la nostra trattoria di riferimento.

People are very kind and helpful. Even if they do not have english menu, they helped a lot to explain the menu. Foods are very delicious and fresh. You feel it when you eat it.
