A unique place. We wandered in by chance and were a bit hesitant because, from the outside, you wouldn't expect to dine there; instead, you'd expect to enjoy some wine and a few platters. Instead, you can dine osteria-style. The space is small but clean. Monica, the waitress, is fantastic! She scuttles around and juggles orders, the counter, bringing food to the tables, and preparing charcuterie plates and appetizers. Very good, friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. She single-handedly managed the packed restaurant without losing sight of anything. She managed the delivery of the dishes impeccably. Given the average waiters around, if I were the owner, I'd hold on to her because she's an excellent calling card. Well done, Monica! Good food and quality charcuterie. Definitely worth a try. Prices are average for the area.

A welcoming little restaurant in the center of Gorizia, with a family atmosphere and a special focus on customer service. The food is excellent, with excellent traditional dishes, starting with the meatballs served on bread, accompanied by the house white wine, a testament to the excellent quality of the local wine. I recommend the Paura dish, with the local "frico" served with sausage and excellent polenta, and the unmissable goulash, cooked to perfection.

I went for lunch with my parents. The dishes were: goulash with polenta, gnocchi with roast gravy, and tagliatelle with wild boar. We were very satisfied. I especially enjoyed the goulash; since it was my first time there, I have to say it was really tender. The polenta was equally good. Recommended!

A very down-to-earth place, in the positive sense of the word. The "host" was extremely friendly, and the lady who welcomed us was very professional and gave us good advice.
The pork shank with white polenta was cooked to perfection, the goulash was spectacular, and the Piatto paura (Frico, Sausage, and Polenta) was succulent. 🔥

Meatballs (2 large meatballs!!) made by them, excellent!
Plum gnocchi and piatto paura (frico, sausage, polenta)... all excellent!!!
The lady serving the tables is very kind and offers advice to those who, like us, aren't sure what to order and doesn't insist on anything.
The gentleman at the bar is kind and friendly.
Highly recommended!!!

Thanks to the owner's resourcefulness, who invited us to visit the restaurant even before it opened, we had a wonderful dinner.
Excellent orzotto with porcini mushrooms, delicious vinegar salami with polenta, and last but not least, the fantastic plum gnocchi.
10 for everything, service included.

The flavors, enhanced by the quality of the product, are truly exceptional and cooked with extreme care and just the right flavors.
Paired in my case with a Friulano del Collio.
In my opinion, coming to Gorizia was worth it thanks to the owner, who clearly puts his heart into it and cares about doing good with locally sourced products.
Plus, I have a furry friend who is treated like a prince.
I can only say the best.
