For me it is the best restaurant in Trieste for those who love classic fish cuisine. I go there especially for the pasta they make at home with scampi and rocket. The fish is always fresh and you always find seasonal products. There are also raw fish and other appetizers and various catches of the day. Try it

On the banks of Trieste, a stone's throw from Piazza Unità d'Italia, we enjoyed excellent dishes in a historic trattoria. Elegance, kindness and professionalism of the owners and staff distinguish the Nuovo Antico Pavone. The catch of the day is presented on the trolley and the off-menu dishes illustrated with care and precision. We tasted the best tagliolini alla marinara ever, the roasted sea bass and the freshly made artisanal desserts made by them. We will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Siamo giunti in questo locale perché consigliati da amici triestini, e con grandissimo piacere abbiamo passato una serata splendida! Al momento dell'ordinazione ci è stato mostrato il carrello con il pesce fresco e ci sono stati indicati i piatti fuori menù. Tutto perfetto, con grande gentilezza e attenzione da parte del personale. Abbiamo terminato con i dolci, rigorosamente fatti in casa. Consigliatissimo

Truly a great experience. A restaurant where you eat excellent quality fish cooked properly. Finally! I returned after more than a year and I can only reiterate my very positive opinion.

Frische Fischauswahl wurde den Gästen auf dem Tablett präsentiert und individuell erklärt. Preis nach Gewicht. Wir waren enttäuscht, weil kaum Meeresfrüchte angeboten wurden. Vorspeisen (Dreierlei Sardinen) ausgezeichnet, der erste Gang (Gnocchi mit Spargel) so gar nicht unser Geschmack. Für Fischliebhaber eine gute Wahl.

25/08/2024: I've been to this place (discovered by chance while wandering around Trieste). Very basic place (just the way I like it). The girl who serves at the table is very knowledgeable and friendly. Place where you eat good fish (fresh) and drink well. A very familiar environment where you feel welcomed. I recommend it to anyone who is in or coming to Trieste. If you want a place where you eat good and fair fish and want to spend with good value for money, then take a look. 23/08/2024: Ristorante carinissimo e vicinissimo al centro che offre piatti di pesce tipici della zona. Ci siamo trovati benissimo grazie alla bontà dei piatti e ottima anche l’accoglienza e la gentilezza del personale! Consigliatissimo il pesce nel cartoccio ! Un caro saluto ad Alessandra che è stata gentilissima e soprattutto simpaticissima !

12/08/2024: It's not the first time I've dined here. I can say that the dishes are excellent with fresh and well-prepared fish. The bill is adequate for expectations and the quality of food and service. Maybe the The menu is a little too traditional and lacks a touch of imagination. But These are details of a place that is nevertheless a guarantee.
03/08/2024: Excellent EXPERIENCE! If you're looking for a place where you feel like home, this is your destination. Pleasant and friendly staff which is more than happy to cater to your wishes and help you choose the right dish and accomodating drink for your palate. Excellent seafood with daily fresh ingredients and locally caught fish. We'll definifely be returning.
