Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing ambiance! While there was a queue to get in they rushed to have us seated within 5 minutes. The speed / efficiency really stood out during service, staff were polite, topped off waters without asking and cleared dishes with haste. (Our server, Roman, was stellar!) However, the most noteworthy experience was the complementary appetizers and desserts. Had no idea what we’d be getting, but so glad we came! 10/10 would come again!

If you like fish and seafood, this is the place to come. Lots to choose from the menu. We ordered seafood and shrimp pasta as well as arrabiata, which was very spicy. French fries were fresh and tasty. Staff were polite and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our food.

Lovely rustic & energetic vibe to this great little place. The staff & owner are very nice and go out of their way to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. Lovely touch is the welcome drink and the complementary dessert & shots. Take great care to make sure gluten free folks are looked after. Delicious!

Great food, great service, menu with pictures (for my non-Italian speaking face), dessert tray with shots (included no extra charge) and great Italian music. One of our best dining experiences in Venice. We will be back.

Posto molto caratteristico, in stile osteria veneziana, consigliatissimo! Ottimi primi ed antipasti, dolci buonissimi fatti in casa dalla Moglie del titolare! Il tutto ad un prezzo veramente contenuto per essere a Venezia a due passi da San Marco e Rialto!

31/05/2025: A quiet and cozy place. Everything we tried was incredible, homemade and delicious. The homemade ravioli and lasagna were spectacular, and what can I say about the tiramisu? Highly recommended if you're looking for a place with homemade food that's far from the typical tourist spots. A 10!

27/02/2025: For our last evening in Venice, we chose Trattoria Bar Pontini because of its great reviews and ratings. We were not disappointed. You have to make a reservation if you want to dine here. It is a very popular restaurant with good reason. The atmosphere is joyful and upbeat. They had a table ready and waiting for us. Fabio was a terrific owner – he sailed through the restaurant making everyone feel welcome. I ordered the Cotoletta Vitella all Milanese, which was huge and perfectly battered and fried. I also ordered an Insalata Mista. My husband enjoyed the Filetto di Manzo Gorgonzola along with roast potatoes. I have to tell you they were the best roasted potatoes we had in all of Italy. They were to die for – crisp – not greasy – just fantastic! He finished with an enormous Tiramisu. One thing is for sure, you will not leave hungry from Trattoria Pontini.
16/12/2024: Had a wonderful dinner here. Friendly service, great selection of seafood. My favorite meal during our time in Venice!
