Short stay in Noto, looking for a place to eat, a local gentleman recommended "Il buco" a restaurant with tables outside, I ate a very good caponata and a chickpea soup just as good, (not even a peel!) an excellent appetizer with their fried food, panelle with bruschetta, fried cheese, tagliatelle with pistachio and almond pesto, all very good, the background music was amazing!!!!

Cuttlefish ravioli al nero were delicious, though not very abundant, and pasta alla norma was delicious and plentiful. A very pleasant atmosphere, in keeping with Noto's.

Trattoria Il Buco, in the heart of Noto in front of the church of San Francesco, offers typical local dishes with good quality ingredients. The atmosphere is simple and genuine, but the prices are slightly above average, thanks to the tourist location. The cover charge of €3.00 for a paper placemat and a little bread seems excessive compared to the overall offer.

Very good food, excellent quality/price, beautiful view from the window and nice atmosphere in the room, fast service, cover charge 3 euros.

30/04/2025: Beautiful outdoor setting as well as romantic indoor ambiance. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and fantastic including the country bread. Had the special Gorgonzola gnocchi they split for us and shared the mixed grill with the freshest chicken I ever ate and grilled vegetables. Wine is amazing and produced by the owner.

12/05/2025: Andrea in Palazzolo Acreide offers an outstanding dining experience. The setting is refined yet welcoming, and the cuisine reflects both skill and passion. Their selection of slow food salsiccia and cheese is exceptional — rich in flavor and clearly chosen with care. The tartar, in particular, was a standout: delicate, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Every course showed a deep respect for ingredients and tradition. Service was attentive and warm throughout. A place where quality truly speaks for itself — highly recommended.
