After reading numerous positive reviews about this restaurant before our trip to Verona, we had high expectations. The restaurant is endorsed by the slow food group and Michelin, with various certificates and logos proudly displayed at the entrance. However, our experience was disappointing. The interior is adorned with artificial flowers and a mix of printed images from a bygone era. We were seated in the patio, which was just okay. We ordered two antipasti: prosciutto crudo, which was good, and smoked mozzarella with prosciutto, which was delicious. For the main courses, we had Tortellini with butter and sage (which was bad), maccheroni with wild spinach (mediocre), and risotto with amarone (bland). Dessert was passable; we tried panna cotta, homemade cake, and cherries with vanilla ice cream. The highlight of the meal was an exceptional bottle of Pinot Grigio Amphora 2021. The price of the whole meal was reasonable at €40 per person. Despite the fair pricing, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Die Lage des Al Bersagliere ist herrlich ruhig ,inmitten von Weinbergen, besonders am Wochenende wenn der Lago aus allen Nähten platzt. Der Service ist witzig,freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider haben wir in der Vergangenheit oft einen Bogen um dieses auf hervorragende Fleisch und Fisch Gerichte spezialisierte Restaurant gemacht (da ich Vegetarier bin) …dies war ein Fehler. Wir waren jetzt in 14 Tagen 3x hier und es war mit Abstand immer ein Genuss. Die Gerichte der Saison (z. B. Risotto mit Spargel oder die Maccheroni mit Catalogna und Gorgonzola waren jeweils hervorragend. Das Filetto al Peppe verde ebenfalls. Der Apfelkuchen oder die Käseplatte als Dessert sind perfekt. Die Weinauswahl ist gut und die Preise für die herausragende Qualität sehr moderat.

Fuori dai percorsi turistici, rappresenta uno dei storici locali di rappresentanza. Poca scelta nei piatti ma rispecchia la cucina della tradizione. Vasta, invece, la scelta dei vini con ottimi prosecchi dal prezzo contenuto.
