As a Veronese, I am very sorry to have to give a negative review to such a characteristic and historic location.
Company dinner, Amarone risotto with a terrible aftertaste of alcohol (non-evaporated wine), exaggeratedly savory baked suckling pig, unthinkable diplomatic dessert. We all left still hungry as the portions were small and we also had left over the dishes mentioned above.
Too bad, doing better didn't take much.

In the heart of Verona, Al Bersagliere is an excellent place to eat. The right place to enjoy typical Veronese food. Worth tasting are Tagliolini in broth with livers and Bersagliere cod. Friendly and pleasant staff. I'll be back for sure.

An unmissable stop!
Every time I return to Verona, I can't help but have dinner here at least once. This restaurant has a homely atmosphere, and the food always manages to surprise with its quality and creativity. Special thanks to Michele, the waiter who has now become a familiar and always impeccable presence, and to Alessandro, who during our last visit was able to give us smiles and attention, making the evening even more special.

La cucina è nella media. La cosa che più ci ha lasciati sconfortati è stata la
Scortesia riservata agli ospiti. I Camerieri erano tutti infastiditi, il proprietario freddo e scocciato alla richiesta di dividere i conti per pagare col bancomat e addirittura mentre uno di noi era in bagno al momento del conto, si è preoccupato che questa persona non saldasse il suo pagamento! Un cameriere ci ha praticamente buttati fuori dal locale affermando irritato “noi tra un po’ si ritorna di nuovo qui”!
Insomma la cortesia e gentilezza per i clienti non sono contemplate in questo ristorante. Peccato
