Twelve years ago, was the first time I had gnudi. Went back and found them. The gnudi held up to memory. As did the rabbit, the homemade limoncello, etc. The atmosphere is small tables, elbow to elbow with locals and off the beaten path travelers.

I saw it on YouTube and dropped in without a reservation. Since it was just after opening, I was able to get in near the entrance. Many late-comers were turned away, so it's best to make a reservation.
There were also staff members who spoke fluent Japanese, so it was reassuring!
The 1kg bistecca was huge and delicious.

I ate there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Lunch was 12 euros for a primo, a secondo and a water. What the penne carretiera, squid ink spaghetti and polpettini (meatballs) have in common is that they are all slightly lightly seasoned and although they do use oil, the taste is more subtle and delicate than other restaurants. This was a bit surprising, as Tuscan cuisine is often quite salty.
The prices are on the cheaper side so they don't use high-quality ingredients, but the overall taste is highly refined and has been established through years of experience, which I think is due to the chef's skill.

Best value ever – right in the heart of Florence. €12 for two courses: pasta with ragú and a slice of roast pork with fries. Not huge portions, but balanced, so you could manage both and still feel full. Lots of Italians, fewer tourists.

Lovedddddd my meal here. I was staying down the road and just happened to walk past. Unless you know it’s there or you happen to walk down the street, you might not even see it. Like with a lot of places in Florence. Soooooo happy I did happen to walk past. The service was 10/10, the food was 10/10 and the price was really really reasonable. I had the Boar Pasta, Octupus and Tiramisu. Would HIGHLY recommend

Nettes kleines Lokal mit freundlicher Bedienung. Gute Preise, auch vom Hsuswein her, verglichen zu anderen Restaurants. Der Mozarella war der beste, den ich je hatte. Sehr lecker alles.
