This restaurant is run by a Japanese chef. The 12 euro lunch set is a great value and delicious!
For the main course, I had tripe, which was completely odorless honeycomb tripe with a simple tomato-based seasoning and minimal herbs. I was impressed by the tripe, which I'd never tried in Japan. It also went perfectly with red wine.

A small, slightly off-the-beaten-path spot, but serving authentic Tuscan cuisine at very reasonable prices, with impeccable service. So good, in fact, that we went twice during our stay!

Unexpectedly...we had booked dinner at another place, which luckily was closed, because we found this truly TOP restaurant...we even had seconds for lunch before leaving...
I highly recommend it, and I'll definitely be back next time.

A guarantee. I live downtown, and it remains one of the few true trattorias, serving authentic Florentine cuisine and a simple, welcoming atmosphere, free from too many tourist-catching touches and gimmicks. Besides that, it's practically the only place where I can find gnudi with butter and sage—a must-try if you haven't had them—all year round, and they're delicious. The quality-price ratio is unmatched in the historic center. Stay here! And above all, don't worry about those who criticize the 10-minute wait or the unrenovated facade like other fake trattorias.
