To Steki In Bologna

I have been to To Steki several times, a Greek restaurant in the heart of the university area of ​​Bologna. The place, the environment, the staff create a welcoming and familiar atmosphere, perhaps there are a few tables too many but I personally have never paid too much attention to that. The menu contains numerous classics of Greek cuisine, with appetizers, pita, meat, fish and desserts. Over time I have tried many of these dishes and generally I have always been happy with them: genuine, simple but tasty recipes. Dishes that focus on substance and that are appreciated even without having a particular presentation. I particularly like the appetizers and the dishes with gyros meat, but in general the entire menu can really be explored without fear. Attentive and kind staff, sometimes they can find themselves a little out of breath during busy times but nothing serious based on my experiences. Finally, I would like to point out the more than reasonable prices especially these days where it seems to me that everything in Bologna is becoming more expensive. A place definitely recommended!

We had been here before, but the service was better last time. This time we had problems while ordering, when, among the various dishes, we said the sauces we wanted to take (expressly indicated on the menu). The waitress obviously did not agree with our choices and repeatedly said "you don't understand anything" (exact words), creating a crazy confusion while taking the order. I think that if you want to give advice (which is always welcome), you have to do it with education and respect. Furthermore, I think that the waitress (a lady) treated us like this only because we are young, otherwise she would never have allowed herself to use certain words. Another small flaw, the bathroom does not lock. Apart from that, the food is good and it is not expensive.

I ate a lot in Greece, and I must say that coming here to To Steki is like returning to typical Greek inns... The flavors and tastes identical.. I highly recommend

Ci piace To Steki perché è un ristorante che, in menu, ha proposte di diverso tipo: quelle più raffinate e costose e quelle più semplici ed economiche. Tavoli al chiuso e all'aperto. Buono il cibo. Staff giovanile e cortese, universitario.

Tornato e sono rimasto soddisfatto, sia per il servizio sia per il cibo. Prezzi buoni per essere in zona centralissima. Sicuramente da provare, ma prenotate, perché è sempre pieno.

It's okay if you had enough of Noth Italian dishes and would like a bit of Mediterranean taste, but overall quality is far from a decent Greek tavern. Gyro meat is not well seasoned and much could done to improve the menu. Has a great potential but it's not really worked on.
