Its fame precedes it but I assure you that this is one of the best restaurants in Como, typical Como cuisine with few dishes but well done, they have very few seats so you have to book weeks in advance, the location is very rustic and typical really very welcoming. We received a very welcome prosecco, the staff is uniquely kind. I would like to return to try other dishes and I certainly will.

Prima volta per noi dopo tante raccomandazioni ma visto il locale piccolo non siamo mai riusciti a trovare un posto libero! Oggi finalmente abbiamo potuto provare la vera cucina tipica Lombarda!
Tutto squisito! Locale suggestivo, pulito, personale gentilissimo e tantissimi piatti da leccarsi i baffi! Servizio ottimo tant'è che abbiamo già prenotato per la prossima domenica così da assaggiare tutte le loro specialità!

Tucked away from the tourist crowds, this spot is a true hidden gem for Lombard cuisine. The dining room was filled with locals - a testament to its authenticity.
The antipasto spread was exceptional, featuring top-tier cured meats, zucchini fritters, and a standout chicken pâté. Polenta uncia was a revelation - rich, buttery, and an absolute must-try. The veal kneecap salad was surprisingly delicate.
Pizzoccheri was an earthy, buckwheat delight, though its cheesy richness may not be for everyone. The braised beef cheek melted effortlessly, packed with deep, slow-cooked flavours.
Impeccable service, with a waiter who patiently guided us through the menu. Well worth the detour.

Locale piccolo ma accogliente, serata con amici, alcuni per mangiare la cazoeula ( piatto di tradizione).
Tavolata con posti troppo vicini al muro tanto che si faceva fatica a entrare anche senza nessuno seduto.
Uno di noi ha preso l’antipasto, gli altri hanno atteso finché non ha terminato, prima di essere serviti !!!!
I piatti ordinati sono stati giudicati ottimi, mentre, personalmente, ho trovato la cazoeula, ottima per il gusto ma con poche verze, abbastanza sfatte e con un intingolo che non ci doveva essere ( per il miglior ristorante di cucina tipica lombarda, come dicono sul loro sito !!!). Quindi per il servizio mi sarei aspettato più attenzione, il prezzo è in linea con i prezzi direi altini attualmente praticati a Como. Poiché in città è reputato un ottimo ristorante, ci ritornerò nella speranza di una migliore esperienza.

Very welcoming family-run restaurant, traditional local dishes really well executed and tasty. The first courses cost €15, the second courses vary from €19 to €22, desserts €6. The choice of wines is also good and the glass of prosecco offered as a welcome. Parking a little difficult, you have to move away a little.

I think the photos speak for themselves but, if you don't understand from the photos, I assure you that the food is excellent, the fillet is cooked perfectly, the pizzoccheri (which never satisfy me in restaurants because I prefer my own) excellent, the shin, the desserts... I couldn't say what I liked most, the staff present and attentive. Yes, the place is small but people always book now so I don't see the problem. It's a shame that it's hard to find parking but, I'd say a walk before and especially after dinner is good for you! 😉
