I found this place by pure chance, but it was a wonderful surprise and ultimately satisfying. The place is small but very well-kept, the waitress is incredibly helpful and kind, and the food is truly special, both in its deliciousness (the pasta alla norma was the best) and its abundance. I'll definitely be returning when I'm back... and highly recommended for anyone passing through or on vacation.

A wonderful discovery. Pleasant setting. Excellent service. The dishes were very well prepared. (Pasta with swordfish). One small drawback: the dessert. The (mini) cannolo is actually served on the edge of the plate with three scoops of ricotta. Which is rather disgusting. Special mention for the Spritz. Generous and well-portioned.

Super meat. Large selection of meat, super price. But the taste is also super. Tasteless food is sold at high prices elsewhere. Here they took into account the request and made the desired salad, which is not on the menu. Very tasty grilled meat, and a good price.

I would like to point out that my review deserves special attention because it comes from someone who worked for years in the restaurant industry with the esteemed and deceased chef La Sala: at the Jolly Hotel in Syracuse, at the Villaggio San Lorenzo restaurant, at the Open Land reception venue in Syracuse and at the Circolo dei Giardini in Fontane Bianche. It is therefore the review of someone who has had his hands in the dough and knows what it means to toil between the stoves and ovens on a Sunday in May and do the impossible to be able to satisfy and leave satisfied the most disparate requests of customers. It is the review of someone who knows what it means to cultivate one's passion for cooking and in the meantime balance the family budget and accounts of a business activity in the midst of a thousand unforeseen events. Mine is not the review of someone who has fed on television programs about food and thinks he knows more than the person who was in the kitchen this morning. Without going into the technicalities of the sector, I can undoubtedly confirm the reviews that preceded me regarding the excellent quality of the food offered to customers. My wife was born in Augusta and today we decided to take a walk in the historic center and then stop to eat at the Tinchitè restaurant. We tasted the pasta with swordfish and the pasta alla boscaiola: generous portions and rich in condiments. Afterwards we wanted to try the horse meatball and the pork skewer. We were really satisfied. Both preparations were exquisite. Finally we concluded with two delicious desserts of the restaurant's own making: the cannolo scomposto and the tiramisu. Special praise goes to the ricotta that we ate in the cannolo scomposto. It made us remember with nostalgia the tasty and genuine ricotta that we ate as children in my in-laws' village in the province of Agrigento. Delicious The service was fast, attentive and carried out with care. The ladies who served the tables were smiling, friendly and professional. The environment is really nice. It is a cozy and trendy trattoria pub to use the language of the young people but also frequented by couples and families. The prices are fair. In Syracuse, in Ortigia, for some years now the hunt for tourists has been open. In this place we found honesty. We also received a discount at the cashier. Customer taken and thank you very much. Why return? The decomposed cannolo with ricotta, the friendliness of the staff and to shake the precious hand of the chef that we were not able to meet. We highly recommend the Tinchitè trattoria

Cute place with cozy atmosphere! The food is cheap and the service is lovely!

At lunch time we ate really well and at a fair price. The service was quite fast, a small error on the bill meaning they were separate accounts but we didn't have time to mention it, it was remedied instantly. If I go back to Augusta I will go there again
