Tiberio Trattoria In Firenze

Very good restaurant, very good service, really delicious food, very familiar and homemade. Great stop and right

We visited Trattoria Tiberio on recommendation from a local. Initially we were treated very well, the place was pretty busy and we had high hopes. There were two of us and we both ordered the steak with rocket and cheese and one portion of roast potatoes to share as per the waiter’s suggestion. We waited a long time for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, when it did there was only one steak with the portion of potatoes. We asked where the second steak was but neither of the waiters seemed to be clear what had happened. Eventually the waiter who initially took our order explained that the chef had made an error and asked us to share the steak until the second one was prepared. We were a bit taken aback but agreed, however, we had long finished the first steak before any sign of the second one arrived. Admittedly the food was very good. We also had cheesecake for dessert which was excellent but due to the dreadful service we still felt the meal as a whole was a bit disappointing. At any other establishment we would have expected a heartfelt apology with an offer of a drink on the house or a small discount from the bill but no, they in fact added a more expensive dish to the bill and when we commented on the poor service we were told that, “this is normal”. If that is the case, we shan’t be returning and would recommend that you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Tiberius is a guarantee! When we talk about excellent cuisine, about chefs, the real ones who choose the products with care and above all who really cook, we are talking about Tiberio alias Maurizio. Excellent traditional Tuscan home cooking, both for lunch (with a smaller menu and excellent prices) and for dinner, with a wide mouth-watering choice! Amazing desserts! Professional service, which could improve in friendliness. Well done!

Dans un quartier calme, un petit restaurant où l'on peut déjeuner agréablement pour un prix modéré. Les pâtes fraîches sont savoureuses, ainsi que les légumes grillés. Nous y sommes allés deux fois en quatre jours !

Would highly recommend for a local, friendly dinner spot. Every dish was excellent (especially the tiramisu). Staff were attentive and friendly. A lovely authentic feel as well.

Typical local trattoria off the beaten track. We ended up here as we wanted to get away from the crowds in central Florence. The venue is ok, decent decor and ok room size. The issue is the timing of the food, we waited 30 mns for starters and an hour for mains. The food is just above average for Florence. Given the price point I would say there are better options around.

The cheesecake must be topped with chocolate, so good. Spicy Pici pasta dish was fantastic, if you like spice.

Well done typical Tuscan cuisine. The fillet on black cabbage is excellent

E' difficile moversi nella rutilante offerta gastronomica fiorentina, schivando i bocconi avvelenati dei locali spenna-turisti. "Tiberio" è invece una sicurezza: buone materie prime, cucina digeribile, sufficiente proposta di vini, servizio curato e cordiale. Non è regalato, ma siamo a Firenze per cui è comunque difficile spendere di meno. Sono una decina di minuti dal Duomo, per cui lo consiglio caldamente.
