The Shamrock In Lecco

Typical Irish atmosphere. First, a big shout-out to the Palestinian flag. The beer, although not Guinness, is excellent. The burger and fries are the same.

It reminds me of a pub in Dublin, a city I love, excellent food, very nice and friendly owner and waiters, in the evening it is better to book

We had dinner at this pub on a Sunday evening in early August after attending a concert nearby. The place is located near the center of Lecco, but in a less than attractive area. It has a fairly large interior decorated in an Irish theme, with a nice bar where you can sit for a pint and—I assume when the weather permits—an outdoor area across the street with tables and barrels with stools. We arrived after 11:00 PM and without a reservation, so we sat outside. We found a table, but the place was still quite busy, so it's best to book. We ordered (from the well-designed QR code menu, with descriptions and photos of the dishes) fish and chips and Irish draft beer (I chose Kilkenny Strong). Everything was delicious, with dry and crispy fried fish and perfectly poured beer. Friendly, fast, and friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere, with lots of young people and many foreigners, good food, and excellent beer. The bill was fair (20 euros each). Also—unusual in these parts—the place closes late (the outdoor area and kitchen at midnight, the pub at 1:00), so it deserves another special mention! I would return and recommend it.

The Shamrock is one of those places I always take everyone who visits me from different parts of Italy (Turin, Novara, Piacenza, Lamezia Terme). And everyone wants to return every time they come back to Lecco. I'm lucky enough to have it right next door. This place is a perfect little recreation of a real Irish pub (unlike many other places that pass themselves off as Irish pubs, and only serve Guinness). What I appreciate most about Marco (the owner) is the soul and care he puts into his place, constantly searching for new beers for us to try, and constantly improving the true Irish experience. I've lost count of how many cans of beer from small and large authentic Irish breweries you can find, along with the variety of taps with constantly rotating beers. And not just beers, but ciders too. And before I encountered Dark Fruits there, I didn't even like them (please never take Dark Fruits away). That said, Shamrock isn't just about beer, it's also about authentic Irish food: each dish is better than the last. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great evening or a delicious lunch.

I didn't have time to photograph the dish... it was so good! A welcoming pub with top-notch flavors and top-notch beer.

I give it my all here. Incredible place. One of the best Irish pubs I've ever been to, not only for the products but above all for the Irish spirit that distinguishes it.

I had a great time at this cozy Irish pub! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, just what you'd expect from a true Irish spot. The bartender was fantastic – super friendly and knew exactly how to pour the perfect pint 🙂They also had an excellent selection of beers, including both craft brews and classic Irish favorites. I also had the chance to briefly chat with the owner, who was incredibly kind. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Highly recommended!
