The Modernist Casual Bistro In Trieste

20/06/2025: One of the best cantucini I've ever eaten. Very tasty and not too hard. They must have been made not too long ago. Highly recommended. Not exactly cheap, but worth every cent. I also got a pizetti, which was also very tasty.

27/02/2025: Excellent artisan bakery and pastry shop, founded in 1962 and family-run since then. It is historically one of the traditional pastry shops of Trieste. It has three popular sales points in the city. It offers a wide variety of breads, desserts (including typical Trieste ones), cakes, chocolate-based products, jams and fruit jellies. The shop in via Rittmeyer has a more local role, with a quantitatively smaller offer than the very central one in via Palestrina, but in any case qualitatively no less. In any case, good products, with friendly and helpful staff. Desserts also made to order. A small coffee corner is also available, with two tables, a coffee machine and an attached fridge. From this, the selection of fruit juices, including exotic ones, of own production are absolutely worth trying. A little expensive (3-3.5 euros per bottle), absolutely amazing mxa: 75% fruit, 5% sugar and mineral water. Very tasty (and definitely better than some well-known quality industrial brands).
