Ristorante-“trattoria” che punta tutto sulla cucima tipoca milanese. Buoni gli antipasti e buone le cotolette. Da velocizzare un pochino il servizio Comunque lo Consiglio

Warm and professional welcome with sincere explanation, quick service, high quality food. I loved the sautéed risotto, crunchy and tasty even though the host had presented it to me warning me that I wouldn't find the classic creamy risotto and it was absolutely what I wanted to try, as tradition dictates! Price more than fair (€40 each for two starters, two first courses, house wine, two coffees and two Valtellina bitters). The area where the restaurant is located is worth a walk: outside Milan while staying in Milan.

The best saffron risotto I have ever eaten. Even the Milanese cutlet is no joke. Expensive yes but worth it ❤️

Dinner for couples; nice place with typical dishes of the Lombard tradition. Tables at the right distance, informal but refined environment, good service. Well cooked dishes faithful to tradition. The only flaw, unfortunately a common evil in Milan: huge mark-up on wine between 200 and 300%, basic wines that I pay privately for less than 10 euros a bottle, seeing them on the menu at over 30 makes you think, to counterbalance more renowned labels have mark-ups smaller and more justified. Overall a nice place to spend a nice evening.

Took my parents there when they came to visit Milano for the first time. I wanted them to try the Milanese cuisine and I picked Testina even though I hadn’t tried it before, but I have heard some good reviews. We were really impressed, including me. We took the ossobuco and costoletta alla Milanese, and both plates couldn’t be any more perfect… they were delicious. This will definitely become my favorite spot for Milanese cuisine!

Excellent trattoria style restaurant but with attentive and prepared service. Lombard cuisine with fairly generous portions, few and pleasant dishes. The wine selection is also varied and the bill is absolutely honest. Recommended, we will be back!

07/08/2024: Here quality is assured. At the entrance, the welcome from the impeccable staff is accompanied by the display of matured meat. the suggestion of the rib is welcome and I recommend cooking it rare, the subscription of a glass of tannic red is mandatory and well managed. Side dishes not to be underestimated, indeed.

I consider myself a well travelled person, eating steaks all around the world from Australia to Cuba, from New Zealand to New York and lots of other good places where food is of speciality. However, we have recently embarked during a tour in the camper van from England to Milan, THE MOST AMAZING steak house. This little gem was beautiful from the off, the decor was amazing with the alls of aged wine and shelves of aged meat, you really feel in a luxury restaurant. We had a starter which I cannot pronounce but Anna put waitress recommended and she did not fault us, it was beautiful. We then shared between myself and my wife the the 1.2kg T Bone steak. Jesus, it was just delicious, cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth with the best salted ingredients. I loved it here and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Anna for your fantastic service, very good English and bubbly attitude. We loved it here 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Trattoria Arlati dal 1936

11/07/2024: One of Milan's historic trattorias... What else can I add? The place is VERY particular, the cuisine is really refined, the service is impeccable! Wine list up to the menu. I want to return in a different season to enjoy traditional dishes!
