After trying several Milanese restaurants in search of true tradition, we finally found Testina, an authentic Milanese restaurant. The owner welcomes you warmly, making you feel immediately at home, accompanied by a pleasant background of Milanese songs. The menu is extensive, with authentic dishes and excellent value. We're already looking forward to returning.

Amazing authentic Milanese experience! We came for lunch. Would definitely come back for dinner! The service was wonderful. We were warmly welcomed and instantly felt at home. One of our party was on a tight schedule and needed to catch a train- the staff at Testina graciously accommadated! The food was amazing. Authentic flavours and dishes from Milan. The Osso Buco and risotto is absolutely not to be missed. Warm atmosphere, great service, and amazing food, we loved it and will be back when we are in Milan again! To top it off we had a great chat about the Olympics with the owner!

Four of us went to Testina and were truly satisfied. The place was clean and welcoming, the staff knowledgeable and friendly. We wanted to order more than one dish, and the owner (I think it was him) advised us to split the portions, an excellent choice. Delicious food and excellent value. We'll definitely be back!

I ate at Testina and had a very positive experience. The photo clearly shows what we tasted: the cutlet and risotto were truly delicious, carefully prepared in full respect of Milanese tradition, with generous portions and quality ingredients. The wine cellar is well-stocked, with a good selection to perfectly complement the meal. The atmosphere is typically Milanese, warm and welcoming, the kind of place you go to eat well and enjoy authentic, no-frills cuisine. In short, an ideal restaurant for those seeking good traditional cuisine, a lovely atmosphere, and an excellent overall experience. Recommended.

04/03/2026: A restaurant that offers a truly remarkable experience. The combination of cuisine, service, wine list, and ambiance is top-notch, without being overbearing: the quality doesn't need to be shouted about. Perhaps the only (venial) flaw is the limited menu.
18/02/2026: I have been coming to this restaurant for the last 20+ years, and it is always a guarantee. One of the few cases I know of, of a restaurant managing to keep the 'snail' (too distinction) of the slow food restaurant guide for decades in a row: meaning that the quality does not go down, and the prices do not go up - not too much, at least. One if the most respected Italian restaurant critics claims it has the best cotoletta alla Milanese and I can only agree. This said, next to the evergreens (cotoletta, risotto and so on) there are always several new modern takes on traditional dishes - some you may have never heard before. Service always attentive. Refined and relaxed atmosphere. Count on me for the next twenty years!
