Tenuta di Mensanello is much more than a farmhouse. It's a small, enchanting hamlet run with passion, expertise, and professionalism. The restaurant is excellent, with a wide selection of local products. The wines are also excellent, and the staff are wonderful. It's also suitable for families with children, thanks to the pool and games available.

We've all dreamed of an unforgettable autumn holiday... velvety green hills, soft on the horizon, a gaze lost in the trees standing like toy soldiers in the clear sky, cobbled streets leading to an ancient village, with stone farmhouses with barred windows scattered here and there, seemingly uninhabited... absolute silence... just the harsh crunch of leaves underfoot... with all the blinding shades of autumn... ochre... orange... yellow... but only those who have stayed at the "Tenuta di Mensanello" can say they've found all of this in a single tourist facility. And what about privacy...a true privilege...absolute silence, no noise or sound to disturb the peace of this enchanted village. Only the cries of birds at dawn and dusk...fleeing in swarms darting toward the horizon! The only scents...those of flowers in the warm sun, rosemary, lavender, damp leaves, and moist earth! The splendid location of this Podere, in fact, makes for a stress-free and invigorating vacation for both body and mind. Recommended for those escaping (in autumn 😉!) from the city in search of peace and relaxation! There's no shortage of entertainment and sightseeing options. Just a few minutes' drive away are the picturesque towns of Siena, famous for their historical and cultural heritage (Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Colle Val d'Elsa, etc.). The estate also offers numerous guided excursions inland for those seeking an "energizing" vacation! A visit to the olive oil mill to see the oil production process is highly recommended! The estate's own production of wine, beer, honey, jams, and saffron makes the restaurant experience even more enjoyable. Both the breakfast buffet (with a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes) and dinner (with original and elegantly presented recipes) were among the reasons we returned to Mensanello for a second year...and we hope to return again! Given that the highlight of this property is the enchanting atmosphere that reigns within the village, the opportunity to stroll along the cobbled paths, gazing at the pool, a flower-filled balcony, or a lavender bush... the "Granaio" apartment was truly comfortable, welcoming, with its three bedrooms and two bathrooms, our family of five and one dog (he was the happiest of all during this "freedom" holiday!) Last...but not least...the Hospitality! The owners of the estate, Neri and his partner Annarita, are truly the best in terms of tourist hospitality. Extremely professional, extremely efficient, smiling, reassuring, always available and ready to make our stay pleasant with advice on destinations and tourist visits. They pampered us with warmth, transforming the welcome we deserved into affectionate generosity! The entire staff, especially the restaurant staff, deserves praise! They are fantastic, friendly, polite, and respectful. Daniele, the head waiter, has demonstrated his professional growth since last year and offered us truly original and delicious recipes! You won't find better anywhere else! We didn't want to leave Tenuta di Mensanello...not even our little dog...we recommend everyone to come to this corner of paradise! Location immersed in the Chianti hills, typical products and oil and wine from the top farm!!!

We stayed during November 2025 one night (with breakfast included) at Tenuta di Mensanello for about €130. The estate is a beautiful slice of Tuscany: it spans around 300 hectares on the rolling hills near Siena and the Via Francigena, blending agriculture, nature and history.  The rooms were clean and well-kept, the staff friendly, and pets are welcome without an extra charge — big plus for dog-owners. What worked: • Easy access, plenty of parking. • Great location to explore places like Volterra, Siena or San Gimignano. • Pet-friendly (no surcharge) and attentive service. • The rooms in good condition. What could use improvement: • Breakfast was disappointing. The variety was limited and I expected something more of a rustic/agriturismo style: say a homemade seasonal cake or local cold cuts, rather than supermarket-style cooked ham & cheese still in the plastic tray. • The amenities in the room were minimal: just a small soap and two tiny shower gels that barely lasted one person. I’d have expected additional items like intimate cleanser or a tube of toothpaste at this price point. Overall impression: Tenuta di Mensanello has real charm thanks to its setting and friendly staff, but the breakfast experience and room amenities feel inconsistent with the nightly rate. With a bit more care in those areas it could easily merit a higher rating.

A fantastic place as a base for exploring all of Tuscany.

This small Tuscan village offers a variety of apartments spread across several farmhouses. The centerpiece of the complex is a manor house with a garden, stylishly and charmingly renovated. It offers a romantic atmosphere. Some apartments have a balcony or terrace with views of the surrounding countryside. Breakfast is served in a restaurant just a few steps away. In good weather, you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace.

This place is magical. It is so quite and stunningly beautiful. The staff is so helpful and friendly. As you walk the property the smell of fresh herbs consumes you. It is so peaceful. Our Apartment was nice & clean - with a beautiful Terrace View overlooking the rooftops and church. The food, oil, balsamic, ragu, wine, brandy and grappa is amazing! I came here for an anniversary get away with my boyfriend. He ended up proposing to me and surprising me with an engagement photo shoot on this property. This is the perfect property for a photo shoot. I can't wait to come back to Tenuta di Mensanello.

Visited as part of a tour group in between stops at Sienna and San Gimignano. Had a wine tasting and lunch which was excellent, and amazing views. Very friendly staff.

Llegamos aquí para el almuerzo como parte de un tour de vinos de la Toscana. Las vistas eran espectaculares. Estábamos sentados afuera bajo el codiciado lanai. El almuerzo fue ligero pero delicioso. Realmente disfrutamos de la pasta. La cata de vinos fue perfecta. Gran lugar para tomar una comida o como parte de un tour.

Gutes Essen, ausreichend große Portionen und ein grandioser Ort! Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend und das Restaurant charmant rustikal und authentisch. Tolle Weine, hochwertiges Olivenöl und eine bodenständige Küche. Das Beste vom Besten jedoch war unsere Bedienung Luna, die sich um uns gekümmert hat wie um ihren Augapfel. Sie liest dem Gast jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab, ist flink und bedacht, extrem umsichtig und angenehm kommunikativ. Danke, Luna, für diese angenehme Erfahrung. Good food, sufficiently large portions and a great location! The view is breathtaking and the restaurant is charmingly rustic and authentic. Great wines, high-quality olive oil and down-to-earth cuisine. The best of the best, however, was our waitress Luna, who looked after us like the apple of her eye. She anticipates your every wish, is swift and thoughtful, extremely attentive and pleasantly communicative. Thank you, Luna, for this pleasant experience.
