A thunderstorm threatened, so we asked for a table inside (we'd already requested it several hours earlier when we booked). The inside dining room was a bit run-down, probably not in use in the summer—it felt more like a sidewalk cafe than a bistro. The table was ready in a few minutes. Friendly and knowledgeable service—a menu that was just long enough. We ate - Elban-style boiled octopus (excellent!) - Mixed salad - Spaghetti with bottarga and lemon (delicious and very filling) - Handmade gnocchi with herb pesto (good, but with too much sauce, almost like a soup) The price was a bit high for what we ate—but in line with local fare.

You can eat outdoors in a small square with a beautiful view of Portoferraio. The daily specials are good, but a bit pricey for what you get.

Location spettacolare. Abbiamo cenato all' aperto, nella piazzetta adiacente con vista sul mare. Cibo ottimo, piatti ben curati. Vino di assoluto livello. Personale gentile e disponibile. Nota di merito per Antonio il proprietario. Trasmette competenza e la passione che ha per questo lavoro, oltre ad essere persona affabile e conviviale. Consigliatissimo! Grazie per tutto. A presto.

Locale molto Intimo in posizione spettacolare nel centro del paese vecchio. Cibo ottimo, cucina curata ed attenzione al servizio. Immancabile per serata speciale sull’ isola.

08/07/2025: Returned after a few years and expectations remained as high as ever! Perhaps one of the best restaurants in Castiglioncello, excellent quality of raw materials, excellent cuisine. Congratulations!
16/06/2025: I share my experience, which did not fully meet my expectations, to make some observations that, I hope, will not be taken as criticism but as ideas for improvement. Let me start by saying that we ate outside, the outside part is right on the Aurelia where cars and scooters do not concern each other. Most likely the inside experience is certainly excellent, soft music, in the environment. But in the summer it is natural that you want to stay outside. Our dinner lasted two hours and we all couldn't wait to leave because the noise did not allow us to relax and chat. The director's chairs, this was of course our opinion, uncomfortable for someone who is no longer a kid. Let's move on to the food. Excellent raw materials (and you can taste it) The amazing boiled seafood. The other dishes were cooked with taste and skill but some things did not convince us (the filling for example in the calamari stew, a first course of chitarra a little too greasy, and the gnocchi too too tasty). In any case I repeat they were good dishes and cooked with skill. The only criticism however is the quality-price ratio with the premises made before. The prices, always in our opinion and we are not the absolute truth, are a little too high if, in fact, applied to the outdoor environment which, in summer, is also practically the most popular place.
