I'm sick of hearing the negative comments moaning. Of course, it's not super cheap, and of course, the food is good elsewhere too. And it's not a beach bar where you just walk in, sit down, and order a Coke (most of the negative comments are based on this misunderstanding). It's a classic dining restaurant that requires a reservation and a corresponding order of dishes, and where you pay for pane e coperto, even if you haven't eaten much. But anyone who comes here in the evening and sits on the terrace overlooking the sea, watching the sun go down, drinking a good white wine, and eating the bigoli in cassopipa, is very close to seventh heaven—but only if they haven't had an appetizer and have someone else with them ;-), otherwise, it's impossible. What's amazing to me is that despite this tourist hotspot character, the food is still very good, and the service is friendly and attentive.
Update 5/25: We were here with a group of 10 friends (with a reservation, of course), agreed on a small menu for the whole group with the waiter (mixed fish and seafood appetizer, bigoli in cassopipa, dessert) and were more than satisfied with both the food and the price we paid.

An absolute gem by the sea!
The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The house white wine (Friulano) exceeded expectations and paired perfectly with the seafood. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and fair prices. If you’re in Trieste, do not skip this place – it’s a true local treasure!

The food is not bad but it is a bit expensive. The view compensates. Two portions of calamari and a 1/2 carafe of wine plus a water 69eur. The cover is 3eur pp but you practically get absolutely nothing for it. Not even a small appetizer and not even a small dessert. Too bad.

Siamo stati due sere consecutive in questo ristorante, dato che era vicinissimo al nostro hotel e dopo aver percorso Trieste in lungo e largo era un ottima sosta per noi.
Molto frequentato, forse anche per le giornate festive offre un ambiente semplice, ma particolare, dispone anche di tavoli all'aperto ma abbiamo preferito l'interno.
Menu' molto ricco in tema pesce. La nostra preferenza va ad un antipasto di crudo molto appetitoso e veloce per poi passare a dei paccheri con sugo gamberi davvero eccezionali ed un branzino delicatissimo. Il tutto innaffiato da un vino locale. Non poteva mancare poi uno sgroppino al limone non molto alcolico .
La seconda sera ci siamo "affogati" con una pentolaccia di bigoli allo scoglio, che pero' in verità mancavano di un "quid" per dare il giusto tono... non so se un pizzico di sale e pepe o un pochino di ...
Insomma per 50 euro due porzioni potevano essere un pochino meglio...
Comunque cortesia e ospitalità hanno condito il tutto, innaffiato da un vino fermo della casa.

Unbedingt reservieren! Ma darf sich von außen nicht abschrecken lassen, sieht aus wie eine Bruchbude, innen rustikal und man wird schon von einem netten Opi empfangen. Es gibt fast ausschließlich Fischgerichte, wir hatten eine marinierte rohe Fisch Vorspeise, sehr gut und man merkt die Frische. Danach haben wir die Bigoli mit Meeresfrüchten probiert und auch diese waren köstlich, vor allem das sughetto. Wir kommen sicher wieder!
