Taverna Via di Mezzo In Casale marittimo

We dined here with our Italian friend and truly enjoyed the experience — the dishes were authentic and beautifully captured the flavors of classic, old-style Italian cuisine. It felt like a genuine taste of Tuscany!

I'm staying in the area and chose this place based on reviews. I made a reservation, and it's best to do so. It's just off the main square of this beautiful village. The location is very quaint, both inside and out. The welcome is friendly, but a bit touristy. The traditional Tuscan dishes are well-executed, with modest portions. The traditional onion soup, which isn't on the menu, is very good. If you're passing through Casale, it's definitely an option worth considering.

It's always a bit difficult for me to rate restaurants, but this time I have to say a few words about Taverna Via di Mezzo. The restaurant is located in Casale Marittimo, a typical stone and terracotta restaurant, finely furnished with original wooden tables, without pretensions to luxury but with understated elegance in simplicity. We had a large table for six, with attentive, unobtrusive service that kept us entertained throughout the evening. The cuisine: The "carabaccia" ravioli with wild boar sauce, the pappardella with wild boar sauce, the stockfish, the tripe, and the peposo were noteworthy. The dishes are beautifully presented. The desserts are average, but they don't stand out like the other dishes. Any small flaws? Perhaps, but I'll personally pass this on to chef Angela, who expertly prepared this excellent dinner for us.

Very nice little restaurant. Unfortunately, the waitresses were very unfriendly. We just wanted a small lunch snack and a bottle of water. Apparently, they didn't like this. They charged us €10 to sit there.

Everything was excellent! Friendly and fast service! They also have several options for celiacs.

A fabulous place. The owners and waiters were incredibly kind and friendly, and they made our evening truly wonderful. The food was quality and reasonably priced. Recommended for anyone looking for a magical and peaceful evening in such a unique village. We'll definitely be back!

The food is absolutely divine. For vegetarians, the ravioli with sage butter is a must-eat!

I spent a few days on vacation in this small village with two other friends, and on the second evening, we decided to try this little tavern. We had a truly delicious meal and excellent service! The host, Christian, was incredibly friendly and a true highlight of the tavern, besides the food itself.

We go to the tavern every year. A wonderful place, with wonderful owners and divine, typically Tuscan food. The pappardelle with wild boar is the best I've ever eaten.

A magical place, with qualified and friendly staff and a truly delicious food. I highly recommend it. I hope my next vacation in these wonderful villages will bring me back here.
