The food is great, delicious, well-presented, and reasonably priced. It's mainly Tuscan cuisine.

Lovely ambience, super warm and gracious staff who made us feel very welcome, and food was delicious. The grilled octopus is a must order!

One of the best places in the area, perfect service, super-trained staff. We ate both lunch and dinner, all the dishes are carefully crafted and truly worth a try. Extremely high quality.

On a trip through the Chianti hills... complete relaxation made of colors and silence... flavor couldn't be missing. I'm in Castellina in Chianti... where do I go? I hear a friend of mine saying to me "if you wait for me I'll come and take you to a little place..." well I think... here it's all tourism... instead... Taverna Squarcialupi... Mauro Marstrini and his splendid efficient waiting and kitchen staff... amazing food and wine... fabulous indoor and outdoor location. Relaxing music. They have a fabulous own cellar and an extensive wine list from other regions and countries, with very low markups. We had Cinta Prosciutto al Taglio which stands out over a 5j Iberico served with toasted chestnut flour bread - a stunning contrast. Flours produced by them, different types of bread, in my opinion the best is the one with a hint of wine. Piccione... finally honored to call it Piccione. Anyone who loves this meat is sure to be thrilled by the raw ingredients and the chef's genius. Could a Majesty be missing? She... victim of slaughter and forbidden dreams... aged to perfection... served on just the right heated soapstone, Maldon salt. Incredibly tender. Real, good meat. Very good espresso powder. Pampered for a whole snack. Even offered by my friend... but what more could we want?! I'd like to add that they have a shop next to the Taverna and another outlet along the main road. Thanks to my friend and thanks to Mauro for his patience and availability. Compliments to all the staff.

Food was pretty good but the staff was the highlight extremely nice and caring and it’s in Tuscany so of course the atmosphere was nice

We really enjoyed the experience. The dishes were tasty, but nothing particularly remarkable. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service was very good! It's worth a visit!
