Their motto "great food, terrible service" is not entirely true! The food is really great, he made me eat minestrone which I hate! But it was actually really good. In reality the service is not bad!! They are very friendly but they are frank and sincere like we were in Rome once! In today's times sincerity is taken as an affront! But you eat really well! And the children can draw on the tablecloth!! 👦🏻

Very nice osteria in Rome, very friendly and approachable staff. The environment is typical of a classic Roman tavern. Let's say that wanting to summarize the experience, you feel at home. Excellent prices. I'll be back.

Cercavo un posto dove magna romano, l’ho trovato! Ottima cucina tipica, ingredienti freschi e buoni, bravissimo lo chef, anche le bruschette di farro e il carciofo . Siamo stati serviti dal gladiatore, servizio ottimo. Ci ritorno appena mi ritrovo a Roma.

Trattoria Da Sergio Alle Grotte

20/11/2024: Small quiet restaurant with amazing food.
09/08/2024: We went to this restaurant with the intention of eating good Roman cuisine and we were very satisfied: the cacio e pepe and the amatriciana were excellent, the artichokes and tripe were delicious. We drank a good bottle of white at a modest price. The environment is characteristic of Roman trattorias, the space is limited but it is still quite comfortable. The only surprise: they didn't accept debit or credit cards but only cash. I would still happily go back!
