very large and well-kept place with small rooms where you can spend convivial moments without too much disturbance. Friendly and very professional staff. The pizzas, and especially the focaccia, are excellent, cooked in a wood oven. The meat is excellent. Portions not very abundant and prices in line with the place.

We ate here on a whim in 2017 while staying nearby. The pizza was so good I was still telling somebody about it yesterday. An absolutely steal of a find for roman pizza if you're in the area.

Historic place in Rome. Very large and characteristic. The menu is really vast, it takes half an hour to read it all. The food is average, nothing exceptional. The pizza dough was without salt, fillet served on a cold plate with some potatoes and a wedge of lemon, you could do better. We had to ask for the ménage ourselves. Good first courses, good tiramisu, cheesecake that tasted too much of Philadelphia and as a garnish there were some strawberries placed on it.

In a 5 day stay we ate from there 4 times. Across the 4 experiences I would rate this 4.7/5. We ate steak, pizza (which I had custom made), a range of pastas, veggies and caprese salad. Everything was excellent. I wish I did the rib steak which is dry aged and charged at a per kilo rate because the size of the cut can change a lot.... my assumption is that they cut it to order (being the nature of dry aged then it has to be this way). Service was not always consistent but most staff had good or at least helpful English and their willingness to help you understand the menu and make a decision was most appreciated. We actually had one guy serve or assist in our service on 3 occasions and so the service got better each time. The restaurant is very busy - so service quality will change accordingly. This is to be expected and forgiven. We found that getting there before 12:30pm for lunch and 7:30 for dinner allowed for a quiet and efficient dining experience. I consider this to be somewhat formal dining compared to the casual and informal restaurant dining experiences closer to the tourist sites. Highly recommend - you can pretty much ignore any low ratings as in my experience I was say that these are rare experiences or so outdated that they are no longer relevant.

Trattoria-pizzeria storica di Parioli: ambienti ben arredati ed abbastanza eleganti, forse un po’ confusionari quando il locale è pieno. Menu vasto con pizza, proposte di carne, pesce …. Ci hanno servito una focaccia appena arrivati: impasto veramente “gommoso”, poco lievitata . Abbiamo iniziato con : Mozzarella di bufala , troppo fredda, dura e poco saporita (sicuramente non fresca ). Scarola alla napoletana buona. Abbiamo proseguito poi con alcuni piatti , molti dei quali non ci hanno convinti : - zuppa di cipolla , molto acquosa - tagliatelle un po’ acquose anche queste - risotto delle malghe buono - pizza alla pala sottile e saporita (decisamente la cosa più buona della giornata) - tagliata al rosmarino con patate : ahimè la carne non era molto tenera , ci aspettavamo una qualità superiore . - salmone scottato con verdure : buono forse troppo cotto Buona la cicoria . Servizio super gentile, attento e preciso. Prezzi nella media della zona. Ok per mangiare una pizza , meno la parte ristorante .

Sempre pieno, forse troppo, e la qualità del servizio, frettoloso, ne risente. Mentre iniziamo a cenare c'è chi spazza per terra, chi corre tra i tavoli, chi parla a voce alta con i colleghi. A questo aggiungiamo i prezzi non esattamente economici. Pizza buona ma non indimenticabile, dolci cari.
