Quiet little place with few tables where you can taste typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine. The ribollita and the Pici are delicious, tasty grilled vegetables. The staff is kind and welcoming even with our dog. The only flaw is the limited choice of vegetarian dishes, but we found something and it was really good. Recommended!!!

Night 1 - The perfect dinner. I highly recommend the pear and pecorino fagottini which was a perfect balance between savoury and sweet. The rabbit was also very tasty, and it was accompanied well by a side of roast potatoes. I would've however loved to see better bread being served at the tables. Lastly, for dessert we tried the tiramisu which was creamy and sweet. I would definitely consider returning here! Night 2 - Indeed we returned to try more dishes after realising that we can confidently order anything from the menu without being disappointed. So we had to have an authentic carbonara, as well as a well made ossobuco. As expected, absolutely delicious. This time the accompanying sides chosen were a generous portion of roast potatoes and the grilled vegetables. We are now considering coming back here as often as possible!

Perfect lunch. Ate the beef tartare with pecorino ice cream, Vernaccia ossobuco and suckling pig. One better than the other. The tiramisu was also delicious

We went for dinner on Friday, and repeated the experience on Saturday evening too. Why? because Luca, who is the Innkeeper, despite having been doing this job for 30 years, welcomes you with the smile and enthusiasm of someone who loves what he does. This warm welcome is sealed by a cuisine where raw materials reign supreme. Both the first courses, including the dumplings with pears and pecorino cream and a superlative ribollita, and the second courses such as the ossobuco are excellent. But you can't leave without tasting the lemon cream milles feuille: it's difficult to find one prepared with so much care.

Very cozy and well-kept tavern near Piazza della Cisterna in San Gimignano, professional and friendly staff. Here you can eat true Tuscan flavours, pappardelle with wild boar, ossobuco and grilled vegetables, with a good Vernaccia from the Cesani winery. Clean and design place.

Ristorante trovato per caso al centro del magnifico borgo medioevale di San Gimignano.Ottimo il cibo della tradizione Toscana,molto bello e pulito il locale.Personale cortese e preparato.Prezzo nella media

Siamo tornati in questo ristorante, nuovamente per cena, perché ci era piaciuto molto. Locale sempre piacevole, arredato semplicemente, ma in modo accogliente e caldo. Peccato aver coperto i mattoni con la tinta grigia però. Menù sfortunatamente uguale alla scorsa volta, ma abbiamo mangiato bene. Carne cruda davvero buona e gustosa. Fagottino cacio e pepe buonissimi e non pesanti. Prezzi giusti e allineati alla media.

10/01/2025: My husband and I had dinner in this restaurant last January 5th and we were lucky enough to have the place just for us. It was a magical evening to say the least, because the waiter Riccardo, of a more unique than rare kindness, had prepared a table for us right in front of the lit fireplace and guided us with preparation and skill to taste the delicious dishes. In fact, the menu follows Lorenza De' Medici's original recipes, based on Tuscan tradition and local food but with combinations of particular and precious flavours. Praise here goes to chef Gianluca Di Virgilio, who made us savor beetroot ravioli stuffed with goat cheese, cappellacci made with fresh truffle pasta and pecorino fondue, braised beef cheek with cocoa sauce and spring onions and other exquisite delicacies we have never tried Before. Thank you so much for everything, despite the distance we will try to return as soon as possible!
02/01/2025: El entorno es precioso y visitamos con grandes expectativas después de haber leído las críticas. Sin embargo, nos pareció que la comida era bastante decepcionante y el servicio distraído en el mejor de los casos. Como resultado le dimos el postre y los cafés una falta. Quizá fue una noche libre. El restaurante estaba lleno, así que esto también podría tener un impacto.

08/09/2024: Excellent food and very kind owners. We spent a pleasant evening. The owners also provided us with a lot of useful information. Highly recommended restaurant!!
11/08/2024: We had lunch the other day and returned last night for dinner. The owners are very kind and professional, but still approachable; the cuisine, typical Tuscan, is excellent, with selected and niche products. Absolutely worth trying are the typical "black" crostini and the fantastic pappardelle with wild boar and the porchetta for the second course, not to mention the Florentine steak: excellent quality meat masterfully matured, accompanied by excellent wines. The owners are simple but very "smart" people, friendly and approachable.
