Taverna Panorama In San giovanni rotondo

The Taverna Panorama certainly has the advantage of a truly enchanting view, perfect for enjoying a peaceful lunch. The location is the restaurant's strong point, with a view that makes the experience pleasant and relaxing. As for the food, the menu is based on traditional dishes and local ingredients. Some dishes, especially the fish ones, are good, but overall the quality is quite variable. There were some dishes that could have been better cared for both in preparation and presentation. The staff is courteous, although the service could be more efficient. During lunch, in fact, there were moments when the wait between one course and another was quite long. In conclusion, the Taverna Panorama is a pleasant place for a lunch with a view, but it could improve both in the quality of the food and in the service to offer a more complete experience.

We chose the tourist menu. Exquisite food cooked with passion. Several options.

We come from Milan, we parked at the municipal car park and took some tickets that were offered to us at the car park where they advertised where to eat. This place inspired us but we were disappointed...I'll explain the reasons: the ASL regulations should be checked, I would want to call the Naas. The waiters without uniforms and without caps dripping with sweat while serving the kitchen staff. Starter (a bite of bruschetta) how dare you call it an appetizer.....First course quite decent but the dish of the day "orecchiette with veal ragù" total disappointment, the orecchiette were half raw and the ragu' non-existent (sauce with pieces of meat that at my house it's not ragu'). Second mixed grill which consisted of three measly pieces of meat, we took salad as a side dish and sorry, it is not brought already seasoned to the tables... it could easily have been someone's leftover. Baked potatoes without the slightest aroma. Not even a free coffee..... Terrible wine (the tavernello would have been better). I asked for ice which arrived in a deep dish.....And you bought the ice holders and also the cheese bowls (grated cheese brought in glass cups). Terrible quality service because the boys tried to do their best by responding to the various requests and were also very kind.....but if the owner doesn't give them uniform and equipment...and the times are very long. If their friends arrive they serve them before others who are there and perhaps already waiting......this is unprofessional.....I repeat the Naas in my opinion would make you close...And I was good.. ... don't try to answer me Madam (I imagine the owner) because you would be climbing on straws. I have read the other reviews and I confirm the negative ones, they are honestly right because we too have experienced the same things. I don't know how you still manage to be open.....then you complain when they say welcome to the South!!! I also have Southern origins but reality is reality unfortunately...... I'm sorry but I must honestly advise you against it......please don't be fooled by the 20 euros there is better in the area for the same price.

What can I say, excellent mushroom pappardelle with porchetta and baked potatoes... not to mention the really good bread

Passing through San Giovanni Rotondo, we stopped in this tavern, where we ate very well, friendly staff, welcoming place... Highly recommended!!!

Welcoming place, friendly and helpful staff, tourist menu satisfying in terms of quantity and quality when compared to the price. Definitely recommended.

My friends and I were there for lunch and we were satisfied, excellent food and a very kind lady who welcomed us with such kindness.. we recommend it to anyone who is nearby.

I feel really comfortable in this place, and if the owner allows me, I feel at home, a really kind owner, his culinary dishes are really excellent, and then... the bread, oh my, it's so good... thank you from the heart.

If I return I hope to find some refreshment inside the two air conditioners which were almost non-existent for the rest, the friendly staff were fine.
