Picturesque place in the center of Potenza. The dishes are tasty, the condiments are local and really good. Excellent service, fast and friendly. Internal Wifi. Value for money more than good. Advised.

Very high quality cuisine. DOC Lucanian products and fair prices. The owner was very kind and professional in explaining the characteristics of the various dishes chosen. The clarification on the uncontaminated purity of their countryside and of their animals above all was much appreciated. A stop not to be missed if you are in the area! We will definitely be back.

E' stata una piacevole scoperta questo ristorante storico di Potenza (aperto nel 1932 come si può leggere all'interno) in cui assaporare la cucina tipica della città e della regione. Ho preso cafati mollicati, lombata di maiale aglianico e salvia e in conclusione una fetta di torta della casa. L'arredamento interno è piacevolmente retrò e curato. Il titolare e il personale sono persone cortesi e sanno dialogare in maniera molto gradevole con la clientela, e ciò mi ha fatto piacere. Se mi capiterà in futuro di ripassare per la città, penso di tornare nuovamente ospite.

Nel cuore di Potenza il cuore della cucina lucana. Antipasto ricco con verdure di stagione (melanzana rossa di Rotonda su tutte), tagliere di salumi e formaggi abbondante (almeno per quattro noi eravamo in due) e due zuppe di fagioli di Sarconi e salsiccia degne di menzione per un conto di 70 euro con ottimo Aglianico della casa ed un dolce di ricotta e pere da ricordare. Migliorabile la mise en place. Una certezza nel capoluogo di regione.

Historic place where you can breathe the history and culture of Lucanian cuisine and not only in relation to cuisine. We chose it by looking at the menu, the dishes were excellent and you can feel the quality, the first courses we chose to savor a bit of Lucania were delicious, the second courses of meat we ordered were even better, the icing on the cake was the dessert. The service was attentive and helpful, very kind and passionate, they briefly told us about Lucania without being intrusive, the bill was very honest. I would go back, in fact we will go back.

Traditional and sincere cuisine of the highest quality, equally frank and welcoming staff, who pass down the art of being chefs and hosts from one generation to the next, with a discreet irony, always present, even companionable, but never intrusive. Rustic but refined atmosphere. Menu in the local dialect, with translation by one of the owners: I LOVE it - I would like other such authentic places. There were two of us (me and my partner), on a stop in Potenza during a longer trip: the first dinner convinced us so much that we also returned for lunch the next day. The only regret? Not having had any more time available to be able to go back immediately even a third time! Among the first courses, the "Stascinati ai pepe cruschi" are sensational (two of us took them on the first day and also took them again on the second day - my mouth is watering just at the memory). Among the second courses, I think the "Filetto all'Aglianico" is absolutely one of the best meats I've ever eaten in my life: very soft (medium cooking), very tender and tasty... in short, an encore with a shoe!!! Among the desserts, the cake with ricotta and pears is also good (you can taste the sugar a little, but the ricotta, of which I otherwise wouldn't be a great lover, is so good in itself that I specifically requested a separate portion, a portion of simple and pure ricotta... DELICIOUS: we recommend tasting it - AT LEAST tasting it). In short: indisputable raw materials, first-rate local ingredients, with portions suitable for a good appetite. Seasonal vegetables: even the soups are delicious! It's really worth trying everything and enjoying it with grace. Like (if not even better) than eating at grandma's house. Fantastic. If you are in Potenza, have no doubts: go there. By force. If you are in Basilicata or in the surrounding area: it is worth the trip! A place that, for better or for worse, you wouldn't find elsewhere anyway. And it also promises well for the winter, as there is a large fireplace right in the middle of the room (yes, "like in the past", but now). 5 stars very, very, very well deserved!!! Very satisfied.
