The taverna is located on a side street connecting the banks to the quayside, easily accessible from the city center both on foot and by public transport. The food is excellent and the portions are generous! (I recommend the cold appetizer!) The fish is expertly cooked and of excellent quality! The staff is friendly; on busy days like ours, you may have to wait a bit to order, but it's totally worth it!

A great place to eat authentic seafood, prepared simply and authentically. A true family-run trattoria, with ingredients imported from Sicily, cooked according to traditional recipes and generous portions. I'll be back to try the other dishes.

A wonderful discovery, stumbled upon purely by chance. A trattoria serving local and Sicilian dishes, excellent seafood, and excellent wine. The portions are generous, and the staff is attentive and extremely kind. Don't miss their first and second courses, including their seafood appetizers, where you'll also find an excellent caponata. We ordered two portions to take home, it was so good. The place is perfectly lit for a pleasant dinner, with warm lighting and furnishings that make you feel at home. Furthermore, the service is fast and attentive, and the quality/price ratio is truly excellent. We'll definitely be back when we return to Trieste ❤️

Siamo arrivati ed il primo impatto non è stato il massimo : abbiamo notato un po’ di confusione nel servizio ed abbiamo atteso un po’ prima di essere presi in considerazione per le ordinazioni …poi quando sono arrivati i piatti….una meraviglia . Bruschette così buone mai mangiate. Caponata sublime . Antipasti caldi e freddi eccezionali . Iper consigliato .

Un angolo di Sicilia nel cuore di Trieste che propone sapori mediterranei. Abbiamo apprezzato soprattutto le orecchiette con pesce spada, ciliegino e melanzane. Buoni anche i dolci (cannolo e cassata). Siamo rimasti invece un po’ delusi dalla quantità dell’antipasto misto caldo di pesce. Consiglio di utilizzare lo sconto The Fork perché i prezzi non sono proprio economici.

07/10/2025: A name that's a guarantee. You eat excellently in a beautiful setting. I absolutely recommend it.
04/10/2025: Interesting decor and atmosphere. You're immersed in a bygone era. We were seated at a table and were assigned because we hadn't made a reservation. The owner was apparently sitting at a desk right next to us in the dining room, taking calls, processing bills, eating sandwiches, and looking at his Instagram. It's funny, aside from that, the menu is relatively small and manageable, with daily specials or fresh catch, but prices aren't communicated. The food overall was delicious. We had crab. We had fish marinated in onion and vinegar. However, I've had better versions. Overall, the food was okay, the accompanying wines were also very good, but overall, you could call the evening a success, not outstanding.

04/10/2025: Honestly, the food seemed tasteless, very dry and disjointed, as did the sandwiches made with a type of bread unsuitable for frico, the polenta crostini weren't exceptional, and finally the frico dish was small in quantity. The prices were normal, but in line with what was stated. The service could be greatly improved. Perhaps a place better suited to an aperitif than a meal. Nothing extraordinary.
02/10/2025: Had a wonderful lunch at this calm and nice location. Good service and friendly athmosphere.
