I was hesitant to eat Sicilian food in Trieste, but I had to change my mind. I had a really good pasta with Sardinian sauce. After all, the owners are Sicilian through and through!

A corner of Sicily and the Mediterranean in the heart of Trieste. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it's a pleasure to sample dishes reminiscent of those prepared by grandparents or some other creative relative, while chatting with Mrs. Carolina. I stayed at the trattoria for over two hours, chatting and tasting.

Everything was delicious: the exquisite swordfish roll, the caponata, the orecchiette, the spicy Sicilian mussels, the ricotta on top of the cannoli... I'll definitely be back. Fair prices and a family atmosphere.

Had dinner with a group of friends. The dishes were generous, delicious, and carefully prepared. We had various seafood pasta dishes, which were top-notch. They were cooked to order, not pre-cooked. The Sicilian cannoli were amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at ease. We'll definitely be back. Recommended

Special thanks to the waitress Kateryna. The atmosphere is very cozy, the dishes are beautifully presented, and the taste is simply incredible! Truly a great little place. Informal atmosphere and home-cooked food. The appetizers were excellent and plentiful, the fish main courses were good, and we finished with Sicilian desserts. Top! ***Update 10/12/2025*** We visited this restaurant in the center of Trieste. It has strong Sicilian influences, both in the decor and the dishes, and the owners are Sicilian too; they're a bit dated but characteristic. There were five of us, including one girl and two boys. We had an appetizer (caponata), four first courses, and one second course. Water for two and two glasses of wine. We also wanted to try the cannoli. The dishes were all plentiful and overall good, not exceptional but tasty and not heavy. The fried food was also light and complete. The cannoli was good but small compared to the real Sicilian ones. Total cost €125. A little too much... Friendly and always available service.
