While visiting Cividale, I stopped for lunch at this tavern, just steps from the Devil's Bridge and just as close to the Celtic Hypogeum and the Lombard Temple. It's a fantastic location. It was a very pleasant little step back in time. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is very helpful and attentive, and the service is very fast. I had the veal cheeks with mushrooms and polenta. Delicious.

We stopped for lunch at this trattoria and tried the plate of mixed stuffed tarts and their prosciutto—they were amazing! Then we indulged in the inevitable frico. Everything was delicious. A special mention for the service: there was only one waiter yesterday, and he was truly superb and made us feel truly pampered.

A lovely restaurant in the historic center of Cividale, with several rooms and an outdoor terrace. The staff is friendly and professional. We ordered a portion of frico and a portion of veal cheeks. The portions were adequate, the wait time was reasonable, and the dishes were very tasty. The bill was moderate.

30/09/2025: Very pretty to look at, but appearances can be deceiving. There was a lot of filling only in the center (almost nauseating), and the Ace juice was bitter. High prices (€10 for everything).
