Two of us went for lunch today. Very quiet, just us and one other person. Good and friendly service. The place was great. We ordered water, a salad, carbonara pasta, garlic and cayenne pasta, and a homemade tiramisu to share. Good. The tiramisu was very sweet for me, but I prefer savory food. The service was fast, helpful, and pleasant. It cost us €30. The only drawback: They don't accept credit cards.

The pizzas are excellent and perhaps this is one of the few restaurants that still makes them Roman style, I feel like saying, hurray! that is, low and very light which makes you want to do it again while remaining very digestible. The classic and timeless tomato bruschetta is delicious, as is the focaccia with Parma and buffalo mozzarella. Zucchini flowers pizza with anchovies simply irresistible, tasty and cooked to perfection. Exceptional tiramisu, never tasted so good in a restaurant. La Baita since 1980, is the true history of catering, not entrepreneurial improvisations destined to appear and then disappear like the trends of the moment. An address to recommend and share with relatives and friends and for those who wish to taste the ancient flavors of tradition seasoned with the tenacity and love of those who have decided to dedicate their lives to catering. Very underrated restaurant-pizzeria, with an excellent quality-price ratio for the pizzas, which were delicious. The staff is friendly and the environment is welcoming. The waiting times are very short. The prices are very low (even too low!) and we paid easily by credit card. It is sad to see that, in recent times, the restaurant has struggled to attract customers. I would strongly advise the owner to invest in online reviews, which are now essential for both tourists and residents. Let me explain: in the Pinciano-Ludovisi neighborhood, a central area of ​​Rome where the restaurant is located, there are many pizzerias and restaurants that manage to fill up every evening of the weekend (often in two shifts!), thanks to high scores, above 4.5 stars, on review platforms. This makes the difference. In fact, searching on Google Maps, the restaurant "La Baita" did not even appear among the results for restaurants in the area, probably due to the score of 3.7, which makes it difficult to see for people. It is essential to increase this score, encouraging positive reviews and working on the critical points that emerged from the negative ones. Furthermore, I believe that the real strength of the restaurant is the pizzas. I suggest creating a more essential menu, focused 80% on them, considering that, sometimes, the negative reviews concern other dishes, but almost never the pizzas. The restaurant has great potential and deserves more. In any case, highly recommended for those looking for an excellent pizza at an unbeatable price in the center.
