15/07/2026: A Retreat in the Soul: Our Tenth Anniversary at Osteria del Laghetto.
Ten years. It seems like just yesterday, suspended between the emotion of saying "I do" and the shimmering reflection of those waters, we crossed the threshold of Osteria del Laghetto in Novara. It wasn't just the location of our wedding luncheon, but the treasure chest where we kept, intact over time, the first chapter of our life together.
Every year, when the season returns to be tinged with the colors that celebrated our love, we feel the irresistible call of this fairytale place. Returning here is more than just a lunch; it's a sentimental pilgrimage, a necessary ritual to reconnect with the threads of our hearts.
The Magic of the Pond:
There's something ancestral in the tranquility of your pond. As we eat lunch, gazing at the surface of the water—a liquid palette embracing the sky and the green willows—gives us a sense of suspended peace. As the poet wrote, "water is the memory of the earth reaching for the sky"; and here, amidst the serenely dancing reflections, we feel exactly that: poised between the concreteness of our daily lives and the poetry of that day when it all began. The silence that envelops the body of water seems to protect the secrets of those who, like us, have chosen to swear eternal love in a place reminiscent of magic and pristine nature.
If the lake enchants the spirit, Cinzia and Guido's cuisine delights the palate, confirming, year after year, its worth to such a precious memory. It's an immense joy to know that you too, dear Cinzia and Guido, are celebrating your anniversary these very days: this makes our return even more magical, almost as if our stories were inextricably intertwined within the walls of this restaurant.
From the presentation of the dishes to the choice of raw materials, we can sense the love you put into your work, the same dedication we have put into building our decade together.
It's incredible how a flavor, a scent, can catapult us back in time, allowing us to savor the euphoria of that day, but with the mature awareness of those who have walked side by side for ten long years.
At Osteria del Laghetto, we find not only excellent food, but a warm and discreet welcome, which makes us feel as if time had never passed. Thank you, Cinzia and Guido, for being not only masterful chefs, but also the silent guardians of our history.

26/03/2026: Nice place. The chef was quite grumpy. One appetizer for two (she said half a lobster, but there wasn't even a claw) - 2 main courses (sea bream fillet with potatoes and John Dory fillet with potatoes) - 1 loose ice cream with berries - 1 miniature portion of Sicilian cassata - 2 coffees - 1 bottle of water and 1 37.5-ounce bottle (half a bottle) of Gewürtraminer = €152.70. The only positive note in all this was the girl who served us, always attentive, kind, and helpful. I think the price was truly excessive and it felt like they were doing us a favor. It's definitely an experience we won't repeat.
