We came from Milan and chose Taverna dello Spuntino in Grottaferrata to celebrate my birthday. It's certainly a traditional and very distinctive place, with its underground cellars and rustic atmosphere reminiscent of a medieval round table, amid stone tunnels and hanging hams. Truly unique! The menu focuses on Roman cuisine, although to our surprise, there was no carbonara, a classic we'd expected. The appetizers were good, while the cacio e pepe, while rich, was a bit too heavy on cheese. Overall, however, we couldn't say we had a bad meal. One unfortunate detail: we'd also ordered a cheese platter, which, amidst the confusion of the service and the dishes, was never brought to us. Only later, at home, did we realize we'd been charged for it anyway. A small mistake, but one that leaves the impression of a lack of attention or fairness, especially given the rather modest price. Overall, a charming place for the atmosphere, good for a typical experience, but with room for improvement in service and customer care.

Very characteristic restaurant, generous portions from starters to main courses and excellent quality, fast service. Recommended.

The Outside seating was excellent and pleasent ..The pink pepper steak was really tender and well prepared..Dont forget to visit the underground winery ..The Inside is charm ..Need to visit on winter time !

Location molto accogliente con splendidi lilium all’ingresso. Tutta la sala ricca di veste di fiori e frutta. Tutto squisito dal tris di primi , pasta fresca cucinata in modo ottimo. Ottima anche la carne dalla tagliata alle cotolette di agnello. Il personale molto simpatico e professionale . Ci è stato consigliato da amici e nostra volta lo consiglieremo anche noi

premetto che è un locale che conosciamo da svariati anni e che è stato sempre una garanzia, ma oggi purtroppo devo cmq fare qualche critica a malincuore. Uno dei piatti forti è il bucatino alla amatriciana che 2 di noi hanno preso e la pasta era scotta; le bracioline di maialino alla scottadito erano secche cm se fossero state cotte prima e poi scaldate e non calde a sufficienza; il tiramisù alle fragole non sapeva di fragole. Altresì devo dire che i tortelli al timo e pecorino e i tagliolini cn i pioppini erano eccezionali. In ultimo il servizio, mi spiego meglio: un locale, dv paghi una media di 50 euro a persona deve permettere anche di stare comodi a tavola, ma la tendenza ultimamente è quella di organizzare i tavoli troppo attaccati l'uno all'altro, infatti io stessa per uscire dal mio posto ho dovuto chiedere ad una sig.ra di un altro tavolo di alzarsi per bene 2 volte. Non posso dire che si mangia male ma non è più all'altezza del suo nome e dei tanti anni di attività che ha alle spalle, considerando il prezzo a persona che si paga di media .
