Taverna dello Spuntino In Grottaferrata

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 35 years and unfortunately I have to say that this time I was disappointed. I can't say I eat badly but not as well as I remembered. Always welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, but stuffed pasta, meat and vegetables without infamy or praise while the spaghetti with black cabbage and crusco pepper is delicious. Good tiramisu. Normal flavours, all stewed cooking without the crunchiness necessary for the suckling pig and the shank. Definitely good for foreigners, for us Italians but above all Romans a little less so.

I have had the opportunity to frequent this place many times over the years and I have always appreciated the type and structure, very welcoming and well-kept and I have always been pleased to return with friends who do not know it. Unfortunately lately I have not been satisfied with the creation of the dishes which did not live up to expectations. The first courses are always good, especially the water and flour pasta with black cabbage, sausage and pecorino cheese, truly delicious. Unfortunately, in the seconds the result changed considerably and both the suckling pig and the shank proved to be decidedly disappointing, so much so that they heavily penalized the final judgement! Tiramisu always excellent. The overall rating is based on the missed expectations for a satisfying dinner in a place where one certainly expects more...

We ate meat main courses with side dishes, all good. Friendly service. Picturesque place. High prices.

Exceptional service. Hospitality and friendliness The food was excellent from starters to desserts. Every time we go to Rome we have to go there.

locale molto bello, stile rustico, arredamento caratteristico, mattoni a vista. caminetto. tutto molto caldo. cibo romano Genuino e veramente molto buono. porzioni generose. tempi di attesa nella norma, camerieri molto simpatici e nel contempo preparati. conto direi giusto. unica cosa un pò inferiore alle attese è stato il vino della casa.

We went on Sunday for lunch. It didn't convince me much, I took the mix of first courses and the quality has dropped a bit compared to a few years ago. The fettuccine with mushrooms is good but the pappardelle and the black cabbage and sausage pasta are not up to par. The price is average given that it is among the Michelin recommended ones.

Bellissima esperienza in un locale meraviglioso sembra di stare all’interno di un castello di altri tempi, abbiamo mangiato benissimo iniziando con antipasti di prodotti locali e della tradizione per seguire con dei secondi e precisamente con del maialino al forno con una salsa buonissima e un filetto con verdure veramente buono, servizio impeccabile da parte del nipote del proprietario, rapporto qualità prezzo giusto Anche se un po’ più alto della media… lo consiglio vivamente Buon appetito a tutti Fabio Arduini
